Missing Person dupe 9/10
The ONLY noticeable difference between this and Missing Person is that this one uses suede for the skin-like effect. They both have moderate longevity, sit close to skin, and feel like a just-showered hug. I have MP so I don’t need this, but it’s an awesome dupe - 10/10, Fine’ry!
ETA: I've come to appreciate this more than MP because there is a little bit of sweetness to it on my skin.

Skin but Leather
Did I get a compliment on this? Yes! Does that mean I like it? Absolutely not. As a newer frag head I have no idea what note it is but something in here hurts my nose. As I'm typing this I can literally taste it and I haven't worn it in two months. I think it's the suede...Anyways, skin but better but only if better means leather.

Fine'ry Without a Trace
I first tried this scent in Fine'ry's Discovery set. During my first try, I did not like it, as this is not my usual scent profile. However, the more I wore it, the more I came to love it, and I bought a full bottle! I smell the orange blossom in the opening, mixed with the suede and musk. In the dry down, I can just smell the suede mixed with the musk, so it's like a soft suede smell. I don't smell cedarwood. I would compare it to smelling an expensive suede handbag that's been sitting in the perfume section of the department store. I find this to have a moderate sillage, especially for a lighter, fresher scent, and I find it to be fairly long-lasting (~6-7 hours - at least for the suede note). I, personally, do not have any other perfume with a suede note in my collection, so I find this to be very unique, and I really enjoy it! However, my husband said this "smelled like the inside of an old person's cabinet where they keep their placemats" (oddly specific?), and my kids say "ew...what perfume are you wearing today?" I like it, so I keep wearing it despite the comments of the naysayers! I would recommend not blind buying this unless you're really used to this type of scent!

Without A Trace — Fine'ry: An Inexpensive, Sophisticated Stunner
Fun fact! When I'm working from home and want to test perfumes, I like to spritz one on each wrist and write on the inside of my elbow with a Sharpie what I'm testing today so I don't forget.

This afternoon, I'm trying Without a Trace/The New Rouge from Fine'ry. All I can think about is how the scrawl of "Without a Trace" looks like a serial killer did it, while The New Rouge is perfectly neat, so if I get murdered in the next few hours, I'm going to leave the most amazing unsolvable mystery on my corpse.

Without a Trace is a dupe of Missing Person by Phlur. I've never smelled the original, so if Fine'ry is doing something wrong, I wouldn't know it. Take my opinion with that in mind.

Initially I wasn't impressed but the longer I sit with it the more it grows on me. My first impression was "Oh, that smells awfully flat and beige" but the profile has deepened, smoothed and settled into something extraordinary.

The combination of neroli and cedar is rich and dryly green, like pine needles, rosemary or sage. It's not quite floral or herbaceous at all, yet undeniably verdant. It's distinctly different from the wet grass, bamboo or jungle greenery I'm used to.

The suede note is beautiful, if a bit uncanny. I've smelled "suede" in other fragrances, but this is the first time it's actually hit right and lit up the part of my brain that recognizes it. I had a pair of what my mom deemed "granny boots" as a kid - a thrifted pair of lace-up black Victorian revivals that probably dated from the 1970's listen I was going through a goth thing that still hasn't ended - and I can smell their suede in this. It blends with the light musk seamlessly. I smell like an upscale antique store in the best possible way.

The scent profile is clean without being soapy, professional without being stuffy, and grown-up without feeling stale. Effortless, poised, self-assured. Graceful, potentially unisex if it plays with your chemistry just so. A perfect daytime scent for a coolly detached, unflappable CEO of any gender. You want to smell like you've got your shit together? This is the ticket.

I definitely do NOT have my shit together. I'll get a bottle anyway. I'm shocked, since nothing in here is in my usual perfume wheelhouse, but I think I'm in love.

A Touch of Familiarity
It is a Sunday in the spring of 1990. I am five years old. As on every Sunday, we are at my grandparents' house for lunch. While the soup simmers on the stove and the potatoes bake in the oven, I cuddle up to my grandma. Her embrace is warm and comforting, she smells of body powder, Kenzo, of freshly washed laundry that has been touched by the first warm rays of sunshine… and of the familiar security of a person who always gives you safety.

It is a Sunday in the spring of 2025. I am now 40 years old and visiting my parents. When it is time to leave, my mother hands me a cardigan and asks, almost a little shyly: “Do you want to have it?” I accept the offer - not because I particularly like the cardigan, but because I sense that it brings her joy. At home, I smell the cardigan… and there it is again - that feeling of familiarity that washes over me, just as it always has.

“Without a Trace” - this fragrance embodies those familiar, almost intimate moments that it transports me to. Neither my grandma nor my mother know this scent, yet they are inextricably linked to it for me. Perhaps because it is more than just a perfume - it is a feeling captured in a bottle. I hardly perceive the individual notes; rather, it is the impression of clean, pleasantly warm skin in freshly washed clothing. I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m not the only one who thinks when sniffing “Without a Trace”: “This reminds me of someone.”

It is not one of those bombastic fragrances that leave a lasting impression on outsiders - but quite the opposite of its name, it reminds me of those who have left traces in my life.

Neroli, the lightest leather, and musk neither dirty nor soapy. Fleeting but moreish. The perfect encapsulation of a “skin scent.”

Smells too much like human skin to me, it creeps me out a little.

Totally solid dupe, layers well with almost anything. I don't get the heavy leather scent some do.

Floral and clean suede scent. I normally don't go for leather, but this is so nice, soft, and professional. Lasted through my 8.5 hour shift
