Royal Caribbean Feelings

Yesterday, I watched the 70th coronation celebration of the Queen - unfortunately only on TV, as I have always loved being on the island.
I like the British mentality - and I find the Queen sympathetic as well.
She is always a grande dame - stylish, self-assured, and with a subtle kindness.
The "falling around the neck" is certainly not her thing - nor is it for her countrymen - but even the reserved Brits can show that they like someone.
Heartfelt warmth is then clearly palpable.
For the royal TV broadcast, I wore the matching fragrance: Tijuca.
Despite its Caribbean origins, it acts very British - exclusive and with fine nobility.
I can imagine it under palm trees in a luxurious spa - but also on a bench in the venerable Hyde Park.
It fits excellently with the ceremony on TV, as it has something special - festive - despite its fresh component.
Scented like this, one would want to sit with the Queen at tea time in the garden of Buckingham Palace.
I will dream a little longer of English times and wish the Queen many more beautiful years.

Wherever I went this year - Tijuca was always with me:

Whether during my work with children and teenagers or meetings with friends and family; it always radiated a friendly sense of security. Even though I was never approached about it, I always felt that my fellow human beings behaved differently towards me - somehow much friendlier and more helpful than usual.
How can I describe this scent that I have come to love so much? Perhaps by introducing Tijuca as a person.

Tijuca is a young, always cheerful girl who loves to spend her time in the expansive garden. Although Tijuca is popular with everyone and people enjoy having her around, she often finds contentment within herself. Her favorite spot is the tire swing that her father hung many years ago from one of the fruit trees. Slowly swinging back and forth, she immerses herself in one of the many classic romance novels, yet without fully grasping the concept of love. She is too pure, too lacking in seduction, too much innocence.

This year, Tijuca became a small part of me. It calmed me in difficult situations and gave me confidence, peace, and security. It always radiates such a wonderful cheerful and clear aura that it is truly hard to fall into melancholy when wearing it. It is fruity without being heavy or overloaded, sweet without being sugary or sticky, and somehow absolutely pure. I cannot put into words how much I like it.

Beautiful Summer Scent

To start- a vibrant note of lemon and tangerine, followed by a fruity floral body of Caribbean rose and cashew apple on a background of white sandalwood.

This is what I read here on the packaging of Tijuca, and against this backdrop, I try to approach the individual fragrance notes.

I only perceive the citrus notes very lightly at the beginning, as a surprisingly fruity rose unfolds quickly. In my mind's eye, I have the image of a yellow tea rose. Rosy, fruity..., where on earth does the fruit come from?

Reading the description slowly again... ahh there:
Cashew-apple, not nuts. The same does not always have to be the same.

And it is these cashew apples, from which juice and jam are made among other things, that are responsible for these fruity notes here.

Anyone who likes rose and is looking for a nice summer scent, away from the ubiquitous fruit baskets, should definitely try Tijuca.
It is completely uncomplicated and brings good mood. The longevity is quite acceptable at about 6 hours for an Eau de Toilette, Tijuca does not undergo a great development during this time.
Overall, for me, it is a beautiful summer scent that will likely accompany me very often in the coming months.

Dishwashing Liquid with Citrus Scent

Tijuca, a fragrance named after the Tijuca National Park in Brazil.
It starts off very fresh, I definitely perceive some very citrusy notes.
A lot of lemon, with a bit of mandarin in the background. Unfortunately, the lemon note comes across as very sharp and artificial to me, slightly reminiscent of cleaning products. Later, the scent changes a bit and I can detect warmer fragrance notes. A little bit of woody notes and somehow a slight sweetness in the background, but I can't quite pinpoint what it is.
Unfortunately, the citrus note remains very dominant in the foreground, and I feel like I've just dipped my arm in Palmolive with lemon scent.
It's a pity, I was looking forward to a tropical, fruity summer fragrance.
