An innocent, fresh and generic scent for a clean moment

I received this perfume as a free sample with a purchase I made from a Facebook fragrance group member. Right from seeing the notes on Parfumo, I knew it wouldn't be my type of thing, but I decided to try it out anyways.

Like I figured, it's a pretty inoffensive and generic scent. It has that clean girl aesthetic: fresh, almost aquatic-like. It's something I've smelled before, probably along the lines of something from the brand Clean Reserve. There's not much more to say other than it has a slight floral aspect to it that's pretty tame with some sweetness to it. As it moves forward, there's this synthetic note that pops up that kind of ruins the scent for me. It's still pretty inoffensive and fresh, but that synthetic, cheap note kind of kills it.

Rain in the Lemon Grove

I became aware of the Allsaints brand through Incense City - and I find it to be an interesting label.
Here, the balance between niche and mainstream is achieved.
The fragrances are special - without being too specific.
Exactly what one sometimes seeks.
Today, I picked Concrete Rain - and was once again taken by the scent composition.
This refreshing downpour falls in a lemon grove, as it is mixed with citrus freshness.
Added to this are cool, moist flowers that exhale their fragrance.
The woods are also damp and aromatic.
A walk in the cooling rain in Calabria.
In Italy, there is no bad weather, as the scent mixture of these landscapes is always pleasant.
Concrete Rain sent me on this beautiful journey.

Juicy, fresh, moist

The sample of this fragrance sat around unnoticed for a while. Does that happen to you too? You know you have something to test, but then you can't find the sample, another time you don't have time, or you're just not in the mood.
Then finally came the day when I sprayed Concrete Rain for the first time and: bam! I was immediately in love! And that happens to me quite rarely! Wow, what is this? I thought. A fragrance, fresh, moist, juicy, like a wet flower bed, with a wonderful floral note and a hint of sweetness. I don't know how black lilies smell and whether this note is what stands out so deliciously for me. In any case, I can vividly picture a summer day with rain, a real downpour has just occurred and now everything is dripping, the leaves of the bushes and trees, the asphalt is wet, and the flowers in the garden have bowed their heads because they are heavy with the wet drops. The sky is still quite dark, but a few children are already playing outside again, hopping around in the puddles that have formed. The air smells clear and fresh and clean.
The fragrance has no strong sillage, it is rather subtle, but that doesn't bother me at all; I really like such scents. However, it is not so delicate that it would only be perceivable up close. By the way, the scent smells the same on my skin compared to when I spray it in the air; I can't perceive any difference. For me, Concrete Rain is a fragrance that can be worn not only in spring/summer despite the rain accord; it definitely works in autumn, whether I will like it in winter remains to be seen. I would describe it as a subtle, moist/fresh all-rounder with a floral note that is special to me.

Memories of Childhood

This perfume must be smelled in the air. Up close on the skin and in the air, two completely different scents emerge. In the air, Concrete Rain actually reminds me of a smell I know well from my childhood: Wet asphalt after a summer rain.
Very close to the skin / on clothing, the individual floral accords are more noticeable. The perfume reminds me a lot of how Veil by avant-garden Lab is structured.

For me, there is no significant difference between skin and clothing with this perfume. It lasts about the same on both (4-6 hours). The sillage is rather small, which personally doesn't bother me. It is the kind of perfume that I wear more for myself because it lifts my spirits rather than wanting to smell particularly good for others.

I find the perfume very successful and will wear it often in spring and summer.
