Summer Escape
As I write this, snow continues to accumulate on the already slick roads. Practicality has replaced fashion as I don my fuzzy socks, jeans, sweater, t-shirt and velour robe to stay warm. It is bone chillingly cold. Even the cats with their permanent fur coats are huddled by the heating vent to warm their toes.

I’m in the mood for a little escapism today. BoraBora is the perfect fragrant transporter to do just that.

She is the ultimate tropical perfume, fragrant with white florals, coconut milk and musk. It is the smell of a woman in a flowy white dress, walking barefoot on an isolated sandy beach. The sun warms her bronze skin as the breeze gently blows through her dark, tiare-adorned hair.

Yes, BoraBora is a summer perfume, but doggonit, I’m wearing it today as a defiant act against winter.

Another dimension
Bora Bora: the pearl of the Pacific, its marvelous lagoon, considered the most beautiful in the world.
A mystical place, which leads the mind to isolate itself and enjoy the beauty of nature: who wouldn't want to be there and leave everyday problems?
“Keep calm, close your eyes, and breathe.”
Inevitable in this creation are tiare' and coconut, which give it exotic, musky and sweet accents thanks also to the other notes.
A real cuddle, being cradled in a place overflowing with beauty and calm.
“Acqua Delicious” painted by Paul Gauguin, who found his own dimension in the splendid Polynesia.

Tropical toilet fragrance
You know those restroom scents that automatically come on when you enter a restroom in a restaurant? A synthetic, artificial scent with something pungently floral that suddenly floods the room, but is never quite able to cover up the restroom flair. That is Borabora. The only difference between Borabora and toilet perfume is the price. I smell jasmine and ylang-ylang. Caramel, musk and vanilla have already left the toilet by the time the fragrance has unfolded.

Tropical flowers in your face
Borabora transports me directly to a tropical island with all its colorful, exotic and intense impressions. The opening is a concentrated load of tropical and white flowers... Ylang-ylang, tiare and jasmine. These floral notes are not fleeting beauties, but radiate with an overwhelming presence. Not subtle and airy, but loud and in-your-face, it hits the spot. Nothing is held back here, but pure opulence is on offer. The apricot brings a pleasant, light sweetness without masking the floral dominance. Rather, it remains in the background as a subtle but important fruity companion.

At the heart, the fragrance becomes softer and gains a tropical creaminess thanks to the coconut milk. Together with the musk, this creates a clean, yet warm, gentle and milky character.

The base is actually the highlight of Bora Bora for me. This is where you can see how harmonious the fragrance develops: The floral notes recede into the background and a seductive sweetness of caramel, amber and vanilla takes over. The result is a comforting warmth that transports me to a cozy evening mood on a tropical island.

I find the comparison with Karma in the opening very fitting, as both start with a similar intensity and floral explosion. But Bora Bora continues to develop independently and impresses above all with an impressive balance between tropicality and sweet warmth, while Karma remains relatively linear.

The fragrance may need a little patience before it reveals its true beauty, but the base rewards this with a warm, harmonious radiance.

Bora Bora is a statement fragrance that stands out with its tropical and floral notes. It may not be suitable for everyone and certainly not for everyday wear or the office, but it is perfect for moments when you long for sun, sand and exotic elegance. Anyone who loves intense, tropical-floral fragrances should definitely give it a try.

Great summery-creamy mix
I also wanted to write something about this Borabora. Giardini di Toscana is a great brand that simply has a great range with lots of creamy fragrances. Perfumer Silvia Martinelli seems to really like these creamy, milky notes and does a great job with them. Anyone who likes these creamy clean fragrances could find something in this range. I used the brand's discovery set to test the range and there were a lot of really great fragrances. The absolute bestseller of course remains Bianco Latte, but this brand has more to offer. The price is absolutely fair for niche fragrances, but they are extremely appealing and can also be used in everyday life. This Borabora lives up to its name and offers this great tropical note with lots of creamy notes. These white bottles perfectly match the fragrance with this milky-creamy design. This Borabora is definitely more suitable for women. It would be very special for men due to this ylang-ylang note. Tiare is also more feminine here and offers this great Caribbean vibe. Definitely a great clean fragrance for the summer.

The bottle looks quite classy with this great label, the wooden lid and this great white glass. Definitely an eye-catcher and a great foretaste of this clean fragrance.
The fragrance offers what you would expect. Lots of musk at all times. This musk is fluffy-creamy and simply very clean and also very suitable in midsummer. The top note is also a tropical floral blend of creamy ylang-ylang and tiare. Very clean and sexy, plus jasmine and a slightly fruity apricot. Ylang is very dominant and takes on the creamy leading role at the start. This is followed by milky-creamy notes, also in the form of coconut milk. This fits perfectly into this concept and ensures a good mood in summer. In the base, you can expect a sweet base of vanilla amber, caramel and, of course, lots of musk, as is the case throughout the fragrance. Of course, the sweetness is very strong, but in combination with these clean, creamy notes, it is wearable in midsummer. This tropical mix is quite cool and puts you in a good mood. This fragrance is also extremely appealing without being too ordinary. This exotic style is cool.
Performance is really good and this sillage in the opening with this ylang note is extremely strong. This fragrance also convinces in the further course with good sillage and durability of around 10 hours. It is therefore extremely suitable for everyday summer wear and provides that clean tropical feeling.

Overall, a clear recommendation especially for women who like these milky-creamy fragrances and ylang-ylang notes. A harmonious mix with lots of tropical vibes and really good performance.

Soft floral sweetness with creamy coconut and musk. Pleasant but not groundbreaking. Balanced, wearable, and moderately lasting.

My favourite of this genre of scent that I've tried so far. Sweet, creamy, yellow and white floral, with just a hint of fruitiness.

Great perfumery! Transformative. Lasted 12+ hours on my skin. Extremely floral. Too floral for me. Deep dry down is amazing though!

Floral, but seems to be a solar cream
