So fresh !!!

A warm, orange-fresh scent that instantly brightens the room and lifts the mood by 100%. I find it so wonderful that I'm almost at a loss for words, probably because almost everything has already been described.

The fragrance is citrusy and fresh, natural and not artificial. It also reminds me of evening sunshine. Unfortunately, it only lasts a few hours, but at least a few hours...

Autumn at the Coast

When in September the sun slowly loses its power but still has some strength, the air along the coast of Schleswig-Holstein is filled with subtle opulence. Last rose hips, grasses, and sea buckthorn define the scene. During my vacation, I became aware of the Weleda fragrances, and this one is my second scent. Agrume starts fresh and tangy with grapefruit and mandarin. Quickly, sandalwood joins in. Together, it creates a fragrance reminiscent of sea buckthorn with dune grass. Strong like the golden autumn sun and with a touch of nostalgia for the shorter days. Longevity for me is 3-4 hours. I quickly purchased this scent as well. More info under Weleda "Rose"

One should not compare apples to pears

You learn that in school... In this respect, I find it a bit unfair when comparisons are made to conventional chemical bombs. If we are going to compare, then please do so with fragrances from other natural cosmetics manufacturers like Farfalla. Pure natural perfumes simply do not last as long as regular perfumes. How could they?!

I find the longevity, compared to other pure natural scents, not bad at all. Actually quite good. On the skin, it lasts no more than 2-3 hours, but on clothing, it holds for several hours. The scent is fresh, citrusy without smelling like bleach, and becomes pleasantly soft over time. The price at €19/50ml is quite affordable. Every drugstore star scent costs more than that. The Farfallas are also around €40/50ml. While some of them are indeed more complex, not all of them are. Their longevity is, by the way, not significantly better. ;-)

Overall, I find the Weledas pleasant to wear because they don’t smell as typically eco-friendly as other cheap natural cosmetics perfumes. And they are affordable too! However, one should really like the typical Weleda scent to enjoy the fragrances.

Edit Sept. 2016:
In the meantime, my Weleda Eaux Naturelle parfumée have become some of my favorite scents. Especially Agrume, which I initially didn’t think I would like. I usually don’t like citrus scents. They often remind me of bleach and develop a sweaty smell - but apparently only synthetic citrus aromas. In natural cosmetics scents, I get along wonderfully with them. And this grapefruit-mandarin-sandalwood note is particularly pleasant to wear.

a Hint of Citrus

Anyone looking for a natural citrus scent without getting associations with toilet cleaner/cleaning products is basically right with this one...BUT:
- it has a weak scent
- it disappears very quickly, after 5 minutes it's barely detectable, after 1 hour nothing at all
