Sweet, sharp, woody
My third try of Galleria Parfums is Dream Woods, a sweet, woody, semi-sharp mix of lavender, citruses, spices, tonka, ambergris, a couple wildcards of juniper and ginger. It opens fairly loudly with more of the sharpness by dries down to lean creamier and slightly sweeter, still with a semi-powdery aspect of the very prominent tonka, the standout note on my skin, albeit with a still sort of floral/woody/fruity background to the tonka. It vaguely reminds me of Navitus Parfums’ Intimus at times, mostly in terms of style and approximation and not as far as being a dead ringer.
Dream Woods is quite nice, sort of a year-round, versatile but provocative mix that feels perfectly unisex. The pricing is $205 for 100ml in parfum concentration, the same for the brand’s initial seven releases, and Dream Woods performs quite well, projecting for some hours on skin but still being dense thereafter.
7 out of 10
