Between love and hate
For me, I really love the opening and the dry-down of this perfume. When I want to dress well, I spray it on the clothes and let it dry for two hours, then I get dressed and go out. The performance is unbelievable. If you place the clothing that has the perfume next to another piece of clothing, the scent will transfer to the other one and remain noticeable, even if you wear a different outfit later.

La Luna - A different kind of gourmand
It is Christmas time 1999. Christmas Eve is just a few days away. My father picks up a Christmas tree from the local nursery. My mother and I take the Christmas ornaments out of the basement. Together we set up the Christmas tree while my father fetches wood from the garage and continues to stoke the fire. A kitchen timer rings. The cookies are ready. My grandparents come over and bring sweets. Yes, this is how one can describe the scent if you have experienced this time. Of course, the apricot joins in, and the fragrance has a bit of earthiness from the frankincense and patchouli, but you can imagine it quite well.

I bought the scent blind based on reviews and recommendations, and I am very enthusiastic.

It already has hints of by The Fireplace or Lattafa Ameer al oud intense, just more elegant, deeper, and more beautiful. I also smell an imaginary date, which is highlighted by the berries or apricot. However, the scent is constantly accompanied by a smoky note, which I find pleasant, but could deter some noses.

The longevity is very good. On the skin, it lasts easily 12 hours, and on clothing, it lasts forever. This scent fits perfectly into the pre-Christmas season. In spring or summer, however, it is not wearable.

I am actually not a fan of gourmand scents, but this one has really captivated me.

The bottle is, as usual with Gissah, extremely beautiful, and the atomizer is insane. Two sprays are more than enough for me here.

However, it is definitely not a blind buy, and the scent should be tested beforehand.

Gissah La Luna - My best buy of the year so far...
I got the fragrance for just under 100 euros and to be honest, I was initially skeptical. The cotton candy in the fragrance pyramid put me off a bit at first; I was afraid it would be too kitschy or sticky. But I wanted to find out, and right after the first spray, it was clear: For this price, you can hardly find such quality in Germany anymore.

The opening is indeed very sweet: apricot, cotton candy, and a bit of incense dominate the first minutes. It is intense, almost overwhelming, but after 10 to 15 minutes, this cotton candy cloud settles. From then on, La Luna unfolds into a dreamy mix of tonka bean, incense, and creamy sandalwood, rounded off with amber. Suddenly, the fragrance feels warm, elegant, and very complex.

Many speak of a smokiness; yes, it is there, but rather subtle. For me, the incense does not make the fragrance smoky heavy, but sweet and almost velvety. That’s what makes La Luna special: a balance between sweetness, warmth, and a slight mystical depth.

The performance is insane. I sprayed it around 5 PM, and by midnight, it was still clearly present. The sillage is extreme; I only tested it on my hand and immediately received feedback from my family that the fragrance is very noticeable.

For me, one of the best purchases of the year. If you like incense, vanilla, sandalwood, and amber, and can get La Luna somewhere between 100 and 120 euros, you should not hesitate. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fantastic here.

Fruity Cotton Candy
The scent starts off very fruity-sweet in the opening. The peach vibes are very prominent.
As it develops, a certain creamy softness emerges that indeed reminds one of cotton candy (with a bit of imagination).

On the wrist, this creamy, soft elegance prevails. A tiny, tiny oriental push peeks through every now and then. For my taste, it's a bit too subtle. However, this is probably due to my skin.

All in all, a good, down-to-earth scent, but one that doesn’t particularly stand out from the crowd.

Frankincense, the scent of heaven, and guaiac wood, the aphrodisiac. This is how people smell in Dubai. A spicy, strong, and sweet fragrance.

The opening was a bit unusual at first, later it became spicy-warm, with incense well blended. On my skin, it has a Khamrah vibe.
