You either hate it or love it
And I definitely belong to the latter category. Even if it's more for nostalgic reasons.
I know many of Harry Lehmann's fragrances from my childhood, and I am very glad that the old store, and therefore the fragrances, still exist.

I totally understand that many people say that Habanera gives off total vintage vibes. But the fragrance is actually such a beautiful composition. I honestly can't smell any of the individual notes. But for me, the fragrance is a beautiful, warm and powdery floral with vanilla and tobacco.
A little tip: don't apply directly! I always spray into the air and run into it. It sounds stupid, but this way you get to the actual fragrance experience and have a delicate veil of fragrance instead of the massive grandma association.

As with many of Harry Lehmann's fragrances, H/S are above average.

Of course, the fragrance is not a pleasant all-rounder for young girls. But anyone who dares to try vintage fragrances can give it a try.

No, the spark just won't ignite here
Many thanks to Rosa for the 10ml bottle of "Habanera | Parfum-Individual Harry Lehmann" :-) Unfortunately, the fragrance didn't convince me at all. My colleague at work said I smelled so funny and unpleasantly like smoke and my best friend also described the fragrance as, to put it kindly, old-fashioned. The longevity is really strong at around 12 hours and the sillage is quite good.

I'm already pretty "through" with the top note. At first, it reminds me of an old laundry soap from my grandmother's farmhouse... At the beginning, there are green and floral notes such as mimosa, rose water, geranium and jasmine blossom. A herbaceousness reminiscent of sage also resonates here. The heart note then smells very smoky, leathery, spicy and somewhat oriental. It sounds kind of good, but it's just not. The base remains smoky, woody, leathery, green and spicy but also smells rooty, balsamic and earthy like oakmoss and vetiver.

Overall, it's really not my cup of tea and those around me were anything but impressed. The rest of the mini bottle can almost be used as a room or toilet spray, because certain parallels are unfortunately recognizable...Sorry dear Rosa!
