The first impression is heavily misleading
When spraying Pistachio Voodoo Child, floral scent components dominate; after about 1.5 hours, the namesake pistachio gains a bolder voice, and the composition becomes significantly more harmonious thanks to creamy gourmand elements. It's just a shame that, as balanced as the fragrance is, it sadly becomes only subtly perceptible on my skin.
More detailed review: Delicate nut notes whisper, creamy wood accords tune their instruments - the audience holds its breath. But then: Jasmine enters the stage with a flowing train, closely followed by daylily in high heels, subtlety was yesterday. Two divas who apparently are (still) not willing to share the spotlight. The conductor lays down the baton and retreats dejectedly. The fragrance curtain falls (for some too late), the disillusioned audience has left the concert hall, and only an enthusiastically clapping forget-me-not remains.
Well … at least that’s my personal association when spraying (fourth test) the Pistachio Voodoo Child. Okay, I don’t really like floral fragrances, but anyone who loves floral scent divas should definitely give this perfume a stage and take this ironic statement with humor. But please keep in mind, some colleagues might get headaches from such a floral bouquet. So, please spray this fragrance in the evening when going out, and everyone involved will be happy.
Despite my aversion to floral scents, I feel capable of evaluating the fragrance objectively and correctly; I rate the quality of this scent as above average, anything else would not be fair. Admittedly, the floral solos do quiet down after about 1.5 hours, and the composition thus becomes much more harmonious; unfortunately, the fragrance simultaneously becomes rather only subtly perceptible on the skin.
So I discreetly retreat to the woody backstage area, but to all those who enthusiastically clap along with jasmine and daylily: Go for it - this fragrance will make you shine in the spotlight.
