It started off so well, but the dry down destroyed it for me
My dreamy pistachio cardamom scent, I finally found you! I adore cardamom absolutely and I don't own anything gourmand. I'm not against gourmand, but I often find them too intense. Then I found this little, green bottle and sprayed it on a card. How lovely! It was light, it was not too sweet, just a hint of vanilla. Gorgeous!

I bought a sample from a Parfumo member and while I was waiting for it to arrive, went into a shop and gave it a try on in the middle of a hot, Summer day. Oh no. What? It has that synthetic, powdery note that I can only describe as "perfume-y" or something a LOT of designer fragrances use and niche ones not as much. I can't stand that stuff and I don't know exactly what it is. I think it's a synthetic musk. It's something very commonly used.

My sample arrived and I did not touch it. Until this morning, which was relatively cold. The opening was heaven again and for 3 hours, I appreciated a delicious balance of very soft citrus and mint together with realistic pistachio, cardamom and vanilla like my favourite Indian rice pudding, kheer. LOVE! It was going so well. I even found a bottle on sale for 99 instead of 160. But then... the musk/powder dry down. OH NO! It's horrible! I honestly even gave it another spray in the evening for that opening and at some point I just couldn't take it anymore. I happily washed it off and went for the greenest of green scent I could find. That was the end of my pistachio and gourmand experiment. No bottle for me, but I did go make myself some kheer.

Latte Pistachio or Latte Cardamom?
You know how a tiny picture of a cardamom pod in a perfume notes list sometimes looks like a pistachio? New Notes took this phenomenon to a new level and even made a pistachio scent that smells a lot more like cardamom. Which doesn't mean the pistachio is absent, no, it's clearly noticeable. Especially in the opening it smells light and sweet like a scoop of pistachio ice cream. But the cardamom is also there right from the start and stays consistently strong all through the drydown.

The salty note is recognizable as well, it adds a slightly mineral breeziness to the scent. The citruses and coriander are not so prominent to me.
In the drydown the scent turns a little milkier with soft musk and sandalwood, but it's more of a conceptual, fresh interpretation of milk than a realistic, gourmand milk note.

This is not the pistachio version of Latte di Cherry, just in case anyone has that idea. Latte Pistachio is neither as sweet, nor as loud, and has a more natural vibe, so they are quite unalike, even beyond the obvious difference in notes. Now that I think of it, most New Notes scents I have tried have a more synthetic vibe than Latte Pistachio.

This is not my favorite pistachio ever, I prefer them a little sweeter. But I still appreciate it, it's an original take on the note and a nice, wearable scent.

Realistic Pistachio with a Salty Touch
Beautiful realistic, nutty pistachio (not synthetic). In the opening, it is citrusy, but it fades very quickly on my skin. Milk and sandalwood give the fragrance a creamy and sweet character. The fragrance becomes interesting through the salty notes and coriander. These add an intriguing salty touch to the scent (but are not necessarily perceivable individually, rather they are wonderfully blended). The fragrance lasts relatively long, but is more intimate.

Pistachio Ice Cream Sundae with a Hint of Mint
I perceive Latte Pistachio as a beautiful creamy, slightly sweet summer scent.
At first spray, it smells a bit green, but in my opinion, not herbal.
Then the pistachio joins in, giving it a slightly nutty, marzipan-like quality.
The milk and sandalwood make this scent incredibly beautiful and creamy.
When I had the window open earlier and a still slightly fresh breeze came in, I felt like I was smelling something minty, like a delicious pistachio sundae with a mint leaf as decoration on top.
The sillage is not overwhelming, but for summer, it is certainly very pleasant to wear.
For me, it definitely fits into the spring and summer season.
It slightly reminds me of Santal India.

Very nice fresh pistachio without milk
I don't know Dubai chocolate. I love baklava, and the idea of baklava being covered in chocolate makes me feel nauseous. Especially the thought of milk chocolate over baklava. And that's exactly what I was afraid of, as this association is mentioned so often with this fragrance.

However, it smells exactly like baklava. A beautiful citrusy icing over authentic pistachio, which is nestled in a spicy, well-balanced cream filling. Also on top, there's a lovely, slightly salted pistachio brittle.

It develops beautifully downwards. Even in the base, I can still smell pistachio cream and a pleasant warmth. My sweater sleeves smell so nice after a few days that I would love to spray it again right away.

It lasts on my skin for a long time by my standards, about 6 hours. But it's not quite long enough to justify the rather high price.

The smell is literally crushed pistachios, the realism of the aroma is surprising, the problem is that it fades in a matter of minutes.

This is pistachio ice cream! Pistachio and milky cream, melting into soft, creamy sandalwood.

Opening was pure bliss, not too sweet. Dry down got very synthetic/powdery I had to wash it off. Lasted all day. Unfortunately.

Creamy-milky wild leather cardamom, but pistachio is hiding from me. A drop of orange added. I expected it to be different.

First Impression: Beautiful, nutty pistachio in the opening. Immediately reminds me of Une Pistache by Obvious, but a bit creamier.

If pistachio weren't in the name, you wouldn't guess it.
A milky sandalwood scent, slightly sweet, slightly spicy.
