Latte Pistachio or Latte Cardamom?
You know how a tiny picture of a cardamom pod in a perfume notes list sometimes looks like a pistachio? New Notes took this phenomenon to a new level and even made a pistachio scent that smells a lot more like cardamom. Which doesn't mean the pistachio is absent, no, it's clearly noticeable. Especially in the opening it smells light and sweet like a scoop of pistachio ice cream. But the cardamom is also there right from the start and stays consistently strong all through the drydown.

The salty note is recognizable as well, it adds a slightly mineral breeziness to the scent. The citruses and coriander are not so prominent to me.
In the drydown the scent turns a little milkier with soft musk and sandalwood, but it's more of a conceptual, fresh interpretation of milk than a realistic, gourmand milk note.

This is not the pistachio version of Latte di Cherry, just in case anyone has that idea. Latte Pistachio is neither as sweet, nor as loud, and has a more natural vibe, so they are quite unalike, even beyond the obvious difference in notes. Now that I think of it, most New Notes scents I have tried have a more synthetic vibe than Latte Pistachio.

This is not my favorite pistachio ever, I prefer them a little sweeter. But I still appreciate it, it's an original take on the note and a nice, wearable scent.

Pistachio sundae with a hint of mint
I perceive Latte Pistachio as a beautiful creamy, slightly sweet summer fragrance It smells a little green when you first spray it, but not herbaceous in my opinion.
Then the pistachio immediately joins in and gives it a slightly nutty, marzipan-like effect.
The milk and sandalwood make this fragrance so incredibly beautiful and creamy.
When I had the window open earlier and a slightly fresh breeze came towards me, I had the feeling of smelling something minty, like a delicious pistachio sundae with a mint leaf as decoration on top The sillage is not bombastic, but for the summer it is definitely very comfortable to wear.
For me it definitely fits into the spring and summer time.
It is slightly reminiscent of Santal India.

Very nice fresh pistachio without milk
I don't know Dubai chocolate. I love baklava and the idea of baklava covered in chocolate makes me gag. Especially the thought of milk chocolate over baklava. And that's exactly what I was afraid of, as the association is so often read with this scent.

But it smells exactly like baklava. Nice citrusy icing over authentic pistachio, which is in a spicy, well-balanced filling cream. It also has a lovely, minimally salted pistachio brittle on top.

It develops so beautifully towards the bottom. Even in the base, I can still smell pistachio cream and a pleasant warmth. My sweater sleeves still smell so nice after a few days that I would love to spray it again

Lasts a long 6 hours on the skin by my standards. But not long enough to justify the rather high price.

There can only be Une Pistache... right?
Latte Pistachio by New Notes is a fragrance that won me over right from the start with its gourmand, nutty aura. I had my first contact with it at the last Parfumo meeting in Bonn and was thrilled. Due to the many scent impressions, I naturally had to test it further and ordered a bottle in the souk, but I was sure at the time that the fragrance would soon move in with me.

The top note greets you with a creamy pistachio, accompanied by a salty nuance that gives the opening an interesting depth. I'm thinking of a roasted peanut here. Lemon and orange are also listed, but tend to stay in the background on my skin. They provide a light freshness without pulling the composition in a citric direction.

At the heart, the fragrance becomes softer and more milky. This is where the full concept of Latte Pistachio unfolds. The spicy notes (cardamom and coriander) are used discreetly and give the fragrance a gentle, spicy structure that is never overpowering. Here, the fragrance reminds me a lot of Une Pistache by Obvious, which I already have in my collection.

The base with musk, sandalwood and amber remains rather subtle and merely provides a soft, creamy finish.
Unfortunately, the fragrance does not last very long on my skin. There is a certain weakness here, especially in comparison to Une Pistache by Obvious, which not only lasts longer, but also remains more linear overall and somewhat clearer in its development.

And this is precisely the crux of the matter: Latte Pistachio clearly resembles Une Pistache as it progresses, especially in its milky, nutty middle, even if the opening with salt and citrus is briefly somewhat more interesting. If you already have Une Pistache in your collection, as I do, you may not see the need to pick up this fragrance as well. On its own, however, Latte Pistachio is a beautiful, modern gourmand that should definitely appeal to fans of pistachio or nutty, creamy fragrances, as it is a successful fragrance with an exciting opening and a creamy, soft heart.
For gourmand lovers, Latte Pistachio is definitely worth a test, especially if Une Pistache is not yet part of your collection. However, due to the similarity and the slightly weaker longevity, the fragrance is currently not a must-have for me personally, because as the saying goes: there can only be Une Pistache!

I would be interested to know if anyone has both fragrances, or any other pistachios in their collection.

Start with a delicious lactic pistachio, followed by milk with pickled cucumber
I got to know the perfume at Breuninger in Munich and was initially very enthusiastic about its milky, delicious unisex pistachio. In fact, I considered picking up the fragrance straight away, which in hindsight would have been an absolute mistake for me.

Unfortunately, I caught a mild case of food poisoning that day and somehow since then I can no longer smell this fragrance without immediately feeling slightly nauseous. What bothers me most now is the drydown, which seems very green to me. It's like mixing milk with pickled cucumber and grass...

I carefully tried other fragrances that I tested that day, but fortunately this effect only occurs with Latte Pistachio.
I don't know what's going on, but I would definitely recommend trying the fragrance first and wearing it for a while before buying it. For me personally, Latte Pistachio is unfortunately a no-go.

The smell is literally crushed pistachios, the realism of the aroma is surprising, the problem is that it fades in a matter of minutes.
