Affordable Liquid Soap at Niche Price
Honestly... Cashmere Show Pony Eau de Parfum is unfortunately not my thing at all, even though I was really looking forward to my Pafory decant. Right upon spraying, I thought the scent smelled somewhat cheap. Instead of coming across as an expensive niche fragrance, it feels more synthetic and a bit cheap to me, like an inexpensive liquid soap in a highway restroom.
The vanilla sugar doesn't come across as warm vanilla, but rather as sugar water. The heart note with roasted coconut without toasty aromas, marshmallow from Tedi, and frangipani is for me mostly thin coconut water... nothing smells creamy or tropical. On top of that, there's this sweet, fruity-aquatic note that simply doesn't seem harmonious. The base note of cashmeran and white musk also doesn't bring any depth.
Conclusion: It's not completely terrible; I didn't have to wash it off immediately, but it doesn't bring me joy either, especially not for the price. For me, it's not a scent I will wear again. Therefore, my decant will be moving on to the souk.
