Alternative Medicine, Natural Healing, and Esotericism
….yes, that’s exactly what the scent smells like. Have you ever been to a natural healer or something with an esoteric touch? I find that there is always a very special scent in those spaces. A mix of essential oils and woods. And somehow energetic. And I mean all of this in an extremely positive way - I love the smell of such practices.
From the first second, Mismar smells like that to me. Ginger, lemon, herbaceous-clear notes (juniper).
For me, the scent is less of a perfume and more of a spa scent or a way of life. Fresh, clear, energetic, and grounding.
I couldn’t observe a significant scent development.

I really like the ginger notes here. The sillage could be a bit stronger, but then this light feeling of life might also be emphasized too heavily.

It could have been so nice...
Mismar reached me through a letter of recommendation, and the pyramid immediately caught my attention. I enjoy all the listed fragrance notes, so I had a high probability that the combination would result in a lovely scent.
Best conditions to follow up with a skin test.

So quickly, in the morning, I sprayed two pumps on the back of my hand to see what was coming my way…
As expected, Mismar starts fresh and woody with a slight gin note; there’s also a bit of synthetic quality and an underlying aquatic element, which is still tolerable for me. So far, so good.
Unfortunately, the freshness fades quite quickly, and the synthetic aspect comes to the forefront; the woody notes remain present while the aquatic element recedes, all with moderate sillage.
After 20 minutes, the first ginger notes emerge, and the synthetic quality is still quite pronounced. At this stage, Mismar reminds me of molecule fragrances (Molecule 01 + Ginger), also due to the slight woodiness in the background; the sillage has decreased a bit.
About four hours later, mainly the synthetic wood note remains with a hint of spice and faint incense tones; the sillage has further diminished, and the scent has become almost skin-close.
Another four hours later, only woody-synthetic notes with a bit of spice can be perceived on the skin, until the fragrance eventually disappears completely after some time.

Unfortunately, Mismar could not meet my expectations.
Sofia Bardelli has created a solid all-rounder for spring and summer here, but it lacks distinctive accents. Additionally, the sillage could be a bit stronger for my taste, and for what is offered, I find the price of €150 for 50ml a bit too high.

Better for me than rated here
Mismar has not yet made it into the Top 10... it is the lowest rated fragrance from this brand so far, which is why I would like to say a few nice words about it.

At first glance at the notes, I thought more of a masculine scent, as juniper usually plays a more significant role than in feminine fragrances.

After the first spray on the test strip (you never know how strong and unremovable a new fragrance will be in the next few hours ;)), I became curious. It smelled green and fresh, which I like.

With ginger and cypress, the juniper then became super aromatic and wellness-like for me. The incense makes the fragrance wonderfully spicy and pleasing over time... at least for me :)

If it were just an incense scent with ginger and juniper gin notes, I would like it, but there's something annoyingly synthetic on top.

Although not explicitly stated, it smells a bit aquatic to me. Slightly sharp, refreshed cypress, with incense wafting in the background.

After the alcoholic juniper start, a (frankincense) airy ginger-cypress scent develops, which feels too shallow and insignificant to me.

Mismar is supposed to remind you of the North Star, just as bright. However, it seems the North Star fell into a glass of gin. A linear scent.

A light, fresh ginger scent with incense. I think it's pretty good.

Ambroxan gin and tonic. Brrr, so much synthetic gives me a headache. Tested from the original discovery set on fabric.
