Wow, a trip to fairyland
The fragrance notes already hinted at it, but the scent exceeded my expectations.
It really is a profound, deep black fragrance that begins with berries and then continues with a dark rose. It is underpinned in the long term with a somewhat greasy tar film, which ensures a decent to above-average longevity.
I have to say, blackcurrant is not always my taste, but the carnation-rose combination simply impresses. Positive for some, negative for others. I think it all depends on how you feel about the black carnation.
In any case, I like it and it reminds me strongly of a darker version of Sleeping Beauty. A german fairy where a princess sleeps 100 years in a castle which is surrounded by deathly roses. The fragrance reflects the part that is often depicted in the movie via a time jump. The thick tendrils of thorns cover the castle and make it impossible to penetrate them. The pitiful attempts of the failed princes who tried to reach the princess cover the forest floor with berries, rose petals and the injured tendrils of vegetation. The trees and bushes bleed ... black.
