Castle in the rain
Oh how I love this utterly unique scent. I discovered it by going to a local perfumery and asking for something that felt like I was in an abandoned castle with wet mossy stones and a cold wind blowing through the windows, and man did this deliver. The ozone and mint really evokes a feeling of standing out in the cold fresh air.

It feels equally so airy and gentle like falling snow or curing smoke and also more powerful, like a gathering storm. Absolutely a rainy winter scent for me, but could also easily find its place during the spring with its ever so slightly sweet floral notes.

Snowflakes on the tips of your nose
Waw, it’s surprising I have nothing like this in my collection but i’m not sure i can wear it.
For me, it smells like cleaning product or some kind of fancy bubble Bath. But the most interesting part for me in this perfume is that I really get a tingly sensation in my nose, like the bite of cold during winter morning.
I will try to wear it more, but i have a hard time to pinepoint the adequate season. However it’s really interesting from a perfume composition standpoint, but not sure it fits my own vibe.

Here I definitely get clean (overclean) winter vibe

By chance, the poem of an astrophysicist about a snowflake landed on me
Right off the bat, I am a big fan of scent interpretations of water in every physically possible form (sea, rain, petrichor, ice, snow, sea breeze, and so on and so on), so it was no surprise that I quickly became curious after I fortuitously learned about this fragrance that was previously unknown to me.

I discovered my Flocon in an Instagram story, which mentioned that there could only be one Scent of the Day during snowfall, named "Flocon de Johann K" (many thanks for this to icarus.mid.air). My first step was, of course, to take a look at parfumo.de to find out what the community thinks about how it smells. Then, oh shock: This fragrance is not listed here. Google must help. And it only helped after a longer search when I stumbled upon a review of the fragrance on cafleurebon.

I found the story behind this perfume simply wonderful. The description of the scent as well. And the design. Should I risk ordering a fragrance blindly from a perfumer I had not known until then? Yes, I should. And I did. I have never regretted it.

The scent has an ozonic, aldehydic aquatic lightness; it feels so beautifully, uniquely, softly, and fragile like "the hexagonal shape of snow," which was described in 1611 by the astrophysicist Johannes Kepler, from whom the name of the fragrance is also derived, "The Snowflake of Johannes K."

Stylistically, it is somewhere between "Wandervogel-2787," "A'mmare-Carthusia," and "Nord du Nord-Wiener Blut," but much softer than the first two mentioned and a bit sweeter than the last-mentioned fragrance.

I am very satisfied with my absolute blind purchase (even doubly blind, completely without support from reviews on Parfumo!) and since this interpretation by Isabelle Larignon, I believe that snowflakes can also fit very well in spring or as a summer fragrance, at least regarding this beautiful scent.

When a flake pierces our heart!
Broken in mimosa mint green. When daffodils melt in watery dew. We dissolve in mossy streams…!

Powdery soft snow crunches underfoot. A scent like icy air, face creamed with Nivea and spearmint in the mouth.

Breathed in the snow. I pick flowers frozen in their last colors. Moonlight falls on dancing spirits. Clouds clink icy.

From the minty heights of the sky, the melancholic flake sails down to the cool mountain road and the damp, shivering Mi-Moosen fauna.

Mimose is on vacation in the mountains. At the glacier lake, there's a photo break. Quick - powder the nose and suck on a mint drop.
