The Love of Jasmine and Vanilla
Quintesscent is a rather new brand that I came across when I discovered the Perfume Bays Collection from Boadicea. Since there wasn't really much to find on the net, I simply asked Perfume Bays directly who listed the 5 fragrances as Exclusive. As always, there was a very friendly and open exchange. So I was able to learn that this fragrance brand was actually conceived and developed as an exclusive collection of its own.

As part of the collaboration for the Perfume Bays Collection, the Boadicea perfumers created the Quintescent fragrances of the five elements. The focus was on the use of high-quality ingredients as well as skin compatibility and animal-friendly perfumery.

Terra is a flattering, warm and almost cuddly fragrance. It is dominated by jasmine, iris and vanilla without being too sweet. Yeah, it's a gourmand scent. But it also brings in some smoky aspects, which are especially good for vanilla. It is in my perception rather creamy, light purple, than brown-black, like the earth. It has a beautiful, light fruitiness that shines through from time to time. And it is precisely these citric, fruity chords that bring a light ethereality into the fragrance, making it almost float on the skin like a veil.

It fits really wonderfully also on men skin and has with me, the already mentioned slightly smoky note, which is really very beautiful. A sprayer is all it takes. I cannot personally recommend more than three, as the fragrance is very perceptible and then perhaps becomes a bit much for the office.

By the way, Quintesscent himself writes about the very good performance of their fragrances and advises sensitive handling of the spray head.

For me: A really beautiful and interesting brand that is not only exciting for Boadicea fans
