Yeah,a scent that certainly cannot be translated
The bottle gives off a flavor I don't like, but when I actually wear it, it's not so bad. It's similar to something, but I wonder what it is.
The top is patchouli! → Clean accord (I'm not sure what a clean accord is, but it's kind of a clean perfume-like scent) + violet leaf, and it has a peppery spice.
If you ask me if the top is floral or spicy, it's both. It feels a bit like incense. A strong spicy floral.
People who like Lolita Lempicka will probably get hooked. Yes, it's like a Lolita Lempicka sweetness that hits you, minus the candied. It feels like a gender-free version of Lolita Lempicka with 10% sugar content.

Top : Clean accord, violet leaf, juniper
Body : Rosewood, black pepper, white tea
Base: Patchouli, dry wood, tobacco, leather, cloudy musk
Maison Matin, I like confusion and dismay. It really seems to have anticipated 2020.

・Lolita Lempicka Eau de Parfum
Top : Violet, English ivy, star anise
Middle: Iris, amaryllis, licorice, iris rhizome, cherry
Last : Tonka bean, vanilla, vetiver, white musk, praline

The composition is not similar, but this may be because it is a combination of violet (violet leaf) and musk. People who like LUSH's DADDY-O will like it.
It has a fairly artificial scent. People who like natural perfumes will be turned off at this point.
But it's too early to look at the image of the bottle and the composition of the scent and think "It's for men!" I think the violet is quite feminine. Rather... I feel a sexiness that seems suitable for night fashion.
The middle notes are rosewood (I like rosewood) and the pepper that has been there for a long time continues. The initial clean accord, which is a "perfume"-like flavor, disappears.Gradually it becomes a woody and musky scent. This does feel night-like.
Recommended for those who like "fragrances that are far from fruity" such as violets, patchouli, and rosewood. In terms of gemstones, it is for those who like smoky quartz rather than rose quartz or citrine. It's not a sparkly or fluffy scent, it's stylish, but it has a clear message. It's a fragrance that makes you feel that will. I guess it's about being assertive.
Perhaps it has a lot of woody notes because it's a scent that helps you recover from complete confusion and get your feet on the ground. It gets warmer towards the end, so it would be a great scent for a chilly day.
I think many women would like it if they could smell it without any preconceived notions of leather and tobacco. It's definitely not "for men". I think it's good for men who find "ordinary fashion fragrances tiring for the nose".
This makes me feel like he's Lolita Lempicka's granddaughter, which I like.

The real fragrance is truly lost in translation and that's where it shines the brightest
"The revelation of an unknown landscape thanks to a daring accord of smoky, aquatic and metallic notes" is how Maison Matine describes its scent.
But to me, none of the descriptions fit the actual perfume. What I get is a soft, fresh and sweet juniper and white tea scent with a woody, musky and peppery base. Do I feel deceived? Maybe a little bit, but I'm not mad about it, because I got something else that's very pretty~

--------------

Lost in Translation smells nice and airy, it's not offensive or "daring", as they say. It reminds me heavily of CK One Eau de Toilette , to where it's almost as if you swapped out the citrus notes with a sweet Juniper.

And it's so nice to get those whiffs of sweet berries during the first hour after applying. Sadly, the projection fades around the 2-hour mark and remains as a close skin scent for quite some time. Lost in Translation is a superior CK One Eau de Toilette in every way (not that this is a contest, but still).
To me, this is a wonderful summer fragrance. I think it will shine the brightest when the sun comes out as you sit in a park and enjoy a fresh beverage.

Nice and soft
I was pleasantly surprised by Lost in Translation. Based on the notes, I didn’t expect much, but it turned out to be soft and comforting. On my skin, the woody and aromatic facets take center stage, creating a cozy and grounded scent.

It also performs well, lasting all day, though the dry-down becomes a bit linear toward the end. Overall, it’s a great affordable option from an independent French brand that’s committed to environmental responsibility. A solid pick for anyone looking for a charming, budget-friendly fragrance.

Do not last long at all, a few hours at best

Vick's VapoRub
Bitter and medicinal on me, but judging by all the other reviews I've read of this fragrance, I assume that’s a "my skin" issue, since that doesn't seem to be a problem for anyone but me. It smells like a perfume version of Vick’s VapoRub. More pleasant (less in-your-face) on the dry down but I can’t get past the unpleasant opening.

The original that never existed
The name is to be understood as a warning.
A lot has probably been lost here.
That I don't like any of the headnotes on paper?
That's no big deal.
Because they are not there.

Bitter-sweet confusion
with a minimal pepper note
drowned in musky shower gel.
Synthetic leather is also somehow there.
That's pretty much it.
Fin

Lost in Translation is not a fragrance whose non-existent quality is very disturbing.
It is simply there and extremely boring
and eventually gone.
Always as expressionless as Bill Murray's face on the poster for the movie of the same name.

I wonder what the scent was like before the translation?
Unfortunately, we'll never find out.
Perhaps it's for the best.
In the end, the translation is even successful, the original just as dull and the disappointment even greater.
Nobody wants that.
As mind-numbingly boring as Lost in Translation is, there probably isn't even an original that has been badly copied.
...
The scent makes you really tired.
In the manga, a nice bubble always comes out of the characters' noses when they sleep. I always liked that better than the "Zzzzzzzz" of western comics.
I could type another 6184 characters in my twilight sleep and free-associate to make sure it's clear how dull and meandering Lost in Translation really is.
But that doesn't have to be the case.

The fragrance is as empty as the last paragraph. That will have to do.
Good night.

On my skin this scent smells like a soft fruity sparkling tea. I'm getting a fresh Juniper, later it transforms into a bubblegum skin scent!
