Wanted to love it

This looked like the most promising unisex freshie from BDK, so I had high hopes. I am thoroughly disappointed. The opening is quite nice but once it settles down there's a something funky in the background that throws the whole scent off for me. The strawberry and fig are prominent, making it smell a bit feminine to my nose. The bottle, like all of the BDK fragrances, is stunning and feels high quality.

Perhaps I had my expectations set too high coming from the absolute masterpiece that is Gris Charnel Extrait. Really hoping to see some better fresh fragrances from BDK in the near future!

Absolutely terrible fragrance

This is absolutely, positively disgusting. I get no citrus and all vegetable. Why anyone would want to create something like this is beyond me. I bought a decant, tried it twice, and threw it in the trash. I just couldn’t give this away. I just can’t find anything good to say about this, and it’s a huge disappointment from a company that normally makes great fragrances. Don’t be fooled by the name like I did

This is TASTY. This opens up juicy and fresh. This remains juicy and fresh. Sometimes I like a linear scent, it is what it says it is. Always temper expectations with a fresh citrus perfume but I can still smell it on my clothes at the end of the day, and I get whiffs of it on my skin for a good six hours before it’s more of a skin scent. Uplifting and fruity and clean, possibly my new favourite “citrus fresh” perfume.

Masculine-leaning fresh strawberry lemonade

Masculine-leaning at first sniff which is the only reason this one won't be going in my collection. I've sneaked my decant in my boyfriend's collection, hoping he'll love it and want to go for a full bottle. I'd love smelling that on a man!

The start is very citrus forward with a pronounced sourness (like a tart candy) and the fig adds some kind of honeyed sweetness balancing it all out. I also start getting a freshness from the eucalyptus that's in the middle. As it settles on my skin, strawberry comes out and pairs wonderfully well together (like a fresh strawberry lemonade). This berry is tart, but also fruity sweet and links to the florals in the middle. It starts getting warm, honeyed-like, while also maintaining that fresh aspect. Strange, but it somehow works! Drydown is very masculine-leaning at that point with the patchouli, vetiver, tonka, musk combo clearly giving men's cologne. Spicy, slightly sweet, musky scent that ends the fragrance on a high note.

If it wasn't so masculine-leaning I might have gone for a full bottle. The citrus combo with the very realistic strawberry scent was lovely and I loved the freshness of the fragrance. A nice addition for warm weather to any collection, I suggest you try it out for yourself!

Summer on the riviera

Orange, lemon, and a touch of earthy neroli leading to light florals, orange blossom and eucalyptus. This is bolstered by vetiver and airy musk.

Spring and summer seasonal. Masculine lean. Most likely a reach for daily leisure. Slightly above average performance and sillage.

A light and fresh fragrance for the summer. Appreciated all phases of development here.
