Cozy made Bold

A year long passion that finally became a bottle!

I just love this one. I love how it manages to be so cozy and comfortable and yet so sensual and romantic.
I love how it just fits my personality so well.

The cardamom opening with hints of the fig accord is just so alluring. The creamy and warming heart of black tea, vetiver, sandalwood and rich vanilla is just perfection to me.

The slight smoky pops here and there and the softness of the iris just make it oh so interesting.

Feels like they just put my thoughts into a bottle.

Perfect for rainy days or just when you want to smell that damn good.

Dark and cozy

Awesome scent perfect for the fall and winter.

Perfect for date night or even just a night out with good company. My fiancé really loves the inviting nature of the scent.

Notes of cardamom, fig, vanilla, black tea, sandalwood and smoky notes really make this a more unique scent.

Pair this with a all black outfit to really get a great feel while wearing it. Careful cause you can spray too much as it is a little strong. Make sure you know the situation.

BDKs Holy Grail

After sampling some 7 or 8 BDK Parfums creations, I can say both of their Extrait concentrations, but SPECIFICALLY this one is a head above the rest. I usually despise Fig, but I do love tea which redeems it for me significantly. Pricy, and I do think you can find better options under half the price of this one (even at discounters) but if you love it the price is justified. 7.4/10

Love at first sniff.

Woody, fresh, and spicy from that cardamom; warm and inviting from that soft vanilla and iris. All in a super clean way. I'm in love.

Warm and spicy, but with fresh touches thanks to the cardamom. Always wrapped up by a very creamy sandalwood, a sweet fig note (but not too sweet), and that powdery iris, also creamy.

The opening is considerably more powerful, with smoky and creamy notes thanks to the sandalwood. On the drydown, I'd say this version is much warmer and sweeter than the original: the fig is considerably reduced, and you can feel that dirty, earthy note of vetiver much more, along with the woody vanilla of the tonka bean.

It has a certain milky note, but retains that greenness. Nothing overwhelming, but very stately. Everything is perfectly measured so you can detect each note as they combine.

This is exquisite. I can't stop praising the man who created this. It shares the same DNA as the original, but is denser and darker.

In terms of performance, this Extrait version projects more during the first two hours. From then on, it behaves quite similarly to its EDP sister, with the same intensity and a little extra longevity. In total, I get between 9 and 11 hours on skin, although it's getting pretty close to that point. It lasts longer on clothes and can give a little more projection, although honestly, I don't think this perfume is made to stand out.

Gris Charnel EDP is the flexible version. This Extrait is much more suited to cold weather and nighttime use.
Redundant? Maybe, but this was love at first sniff.
