Quite Nice
I quite like this. Very musky, strong smell but not a lot of trail, moderate wearing time, a little movement but on the whole more linear than top, middle, base.

There isn't a whole lot to this one being in the main a musk dominant perfume. As a musk dominant perfume I would opine that this isn't a safe blind buy or office perfume as many people find a lot of musk a bit skanky. Not me; I love it but I wouldn't wear to the office (remembering many moons ago wearing Coty Wild Musk perfume oil to the office and someone wondering out loud about a strong smell of body odour - it was me and to their embarrassment I fessed up).

I find it a very powdery musk with a slight floral twang. After a few minutes it suddenly smelt a bit tiddley, sharp, a bit sour but that passed in about half an hour.

Sometimes it smells a bit like tonka (not in the note list) and sometimes a bit patchouli (not in the note list but it could be the carrot seed an oil I find dry and woody). Sometimes there is a sweet warmth which could be the cinnamon note although I don't read this as being cinnamon but perhaps that is because when I think cinnamon I think of heavy perfumes such as Youth Dew. As it wears I get a bit more of the warm powdery flowers. It's a little sweet.

It says deer musk which I have never smelt as a natural material nor as a perfume aroma blend so I can't say whether this fragrance is deer musk dominant. I find the musk not like a laundry musk but warm and powdery. I'm going to stick my neck out and say that this is a powdery animalic musk and not a laundry or baby powder musk. Reminds me a little of Beloved by Amouage which is another perfume I love but have been advised I smell like drains when wearing it. Sigh.

It's £165 for 50 ml extrait. A little bit expensive I think, but I only needed one spray from my 2ml sample spray so 50 ml would last me. That sounds to me like I am thinking of buying it. Ha ha.

I haven't got anything like this and wonder whether the carrot seed and cinnamon are coming together to give me a patchouli vibe, and patchouli being a favourite note of mine that could be why I feel so attracted to it. Hmm.

Waffle over.

More sprays I get more spicey florals loads of dry carrot seed. Heady. I am a chronic undersprayer, more is more in this case.
