In March, I was in Rio de Janeiro and the city really captivated me. But what stuck with me the most were the fruits. That intense, juicy scent that seemed to linger everywhere in the air.

One memory has particularly etched itself into my mind. The scent of an unripe, green pineapple. Fresh, slightly tart, vibrant. With the hope of smelling that scent again someday. And I find that exact feeling here again.

It doesn’t start with that typical, sticky tropical sweetness. It’s more green, almost a bit bitter and totally fresh. As if you were breaking open the skin of a pineapple that still needs a few more days of sun. I love that pleasant green note that resonates throughout.

The coconut makes it beautifully creamy, but without that typical lotion vibe. And the almond? Forget marzipan or roasted nuts. This is something completely different. More of a bright, almost milky nuance that quietly resonates in the background.

Eventually, the passion fruit joins in. It brings in a zesty acidity that really adds movement. Gradually, a subtle rosy and slightly woody note develops.

In the drydown, it becomes really cozy. White, almost woolly musk meets a woody, naturally occurring vanilla.

The longevity on my skin is very good. In the end, perfume is always skin chemistry. Either it works for you or it doesn’t. The sillage is pleasantly present for me and perfectly dosed.

For me, the scent has its own DNA that I haven’t smelled before.

It rather shows the mysterious, almost melancholic side of Rio, rather than the loud Copacabana party.

The first spray and you immediately get the pineapple mixed with coconut, giving a slight shower gel vibe. But it's not bothersome, rather very relaxing.
During the dry down, the passion fruit comes to the forefront. After the dry down, rose joins in and the scent becomes more mature, moving away from the shower gel character. After a while, the top notes fade and the woods develop the scent towards a passion fruit wood mix with a hint of vanilla. Unfortunately, it is not as strong as the shooting star of the brand T of Zanzibar and starts to fade after about 3 hours. However, after 4-5 hours, it comes back strong but smells completely like laundry detergent.
