Just needs a few tweaks

The aldehydic crispy pear in the opening is delicious and not in a gourmand way, I just love how effervescent and strong it leads on. However, it softens up to a really creamy musky iris/orris perfume that smells just a tad bit too mature for me. It smells like those fancy makeup puffs you see a well put together elderly mother use. Not quite grandma, but the freshness in the opening subsides and gets really powdery floraly which I think is fitting for the brand, but it would be a lot better for my taste if the aldehydic pear remained prominent.

Love this

Oh my word. I bought this purely on notes and reviews. On first spray I started to think this was a mistake. The first 15 mins for me was screechy and messy. Soon after that the warmth of the musk comes through and the rest of the notes blend together in the most intoxicating way. The floral notes are all there but they dance around your senses never quite staying alone. It’s like a modern ambrette take on a vintage classy ‘lady’ scent. It’s truly beautiful and I can’t wait to take it away with me this weekend to make it a memory.
