Summer can come...
I love gourmand fragrances and would always answer the question of whether you can wear gourmands in summer with "yes." However, given the temperatures of the last few days exceeding 30°, I had to admit that caramel, chocolate, and cotton candy might be a bit too much after all, so I was on the lookout for a summer scent that is very sweet, fresh, and fruity.
Thanks to Garnele, who was once again so kind and sent me a sample, I had the opportunity to test the fragrance extensively.
Mango Jugoso starts off, as the name suggests, with a very intense sugary sweet mango. The mango doesn't necessarily remind me of a freshly cut mango, but rather leans towards mango sorbet that has been refined with lime juice and contains a slightly tart citrus note.
After a short time, sweet ripe pineapple and juicy melon join in, adding even more fruitiness to the fragrance and reminding me of a tropical cocktail.
The mango remains prominently in the foreground throughout the entire fragrance journey, becoming slightly less sweet and a bit creamy in the dry down.
I also perceive blackcurrant and orange, which stay subtly in the background.
The longevity is decent for a summer fragrance. On my skin, I notice it for about 6 hours, and a bit longer on clothes.
The price/performance ratio is excellent, especially since the fragrance is often available at a very good price on sale.
For me, Mango Jugoso is a great unisex fragrance that lifts the mood and is also easy to wear on warmer days without being annoying or overwhelming.
Anyone who likes mango and is still looking for a very fruity summer scent should definitely try Mango Jugoso.
I liked it so much that it has found a place in my collection, and I will surely wear it often in the coming weeks.
