Finally a great summer scent with coconut
It is really not easy to find a good coconut scent; in my opinion, there are few, and they are mostly synthetic and not very pleasant.
Before I got the "Coconut Lagoon | Ministry of Gourmand," I came across the "Endless Summer | Amando Perez," which simply smelled like toilet cleaner with a hint of coconut.
Here, coconut and bergamot are also in the foreground, but compared to Amando Perez, the Paris Corner is on a completely different level.
Many do not perceive the coconut in the opening; I, on the other hand, smell it right from the start.
Although bergamot and mandarin are initially a bit more noticeable, in the background, there is a beautiful creamy coconut that fortunately does not smell synthetic.
After this wonderful opening, it was immediately clear to me that I had finally found the almost perfect coconut scent.
CL remains quite linear; in the dry down, the coconut becomes more prominent.
A great, summery mix develops of 50% bergamot/mandarin and 50% sweet creamy coconut.
However, the citrus notes prevent it from being overly sweet, making it wearable even in summer.
I find the bergamot not as fresh as in many other fragrances, but it still gives the scent a light freshness.
To be honest, I don't perceive anything from the heart note.
With a bit of imagination, maybe the apple, but there's no trace of watermelon or caramel here.
The performance is not the best.
In the first 60 to 90 minutes, I can smell it well; after that, it’s just there without projecting strongly.
Here, the more sprays, the better.
So it's actually perfect for the office and in general situations where you want to smell good but not disturb anyone.
I find Coconut Lagoon unisex, but I see it more on a man (M60%/40%W).
Skip the Endless Summer and get the Coconut Lagoon instead.
I can only recommend it; I think it's really great and will definitely wear it more often this summer.
