Moroccanoil finally listened to their fans and did it!
I owned a full bottle of Brumes du Maroc way back at the start of my journey, so when I heard that Moroccanoil was doing a perfume, I was ecstatic to try it out.
I absolutely love Moroccanoil as a brand. I own quite a few products from them. I have the Moroccanoil Treatment Light Hair Oil for Fine Hair, Protect & Prevent Spray, Body Butter Moisturizer, Shower Gel Cleanser and the Night Body Serum. I also have their Purifying Pre-Wash Scalp Scrub and their Intense Hydrating Mask. So let's just say I know what Moroccanoil products are supposed to smell like. When comparing this fragrance to the hair products, I'd say it's a very similar take. The perfume is closer to the hair mist products than the oil treatments. If you're looking to smell like the oil products, Brumes du Maroc is more similar.
It has a very distinctive sharp, almost sour, citrus note and an emphasis on the floral aspect. It's less ambery and warm than the body mist, even though as it dries down, it starts getting there. Citrus notes remain for awhile even though florals do end up taking a bit of the spotlight. It smells fresh, clean and slightly shampooey. Very nice! Like I said in the body mist review, it's not a scent I want to wear on my body (although I love it in my hair), so it won't be making it into a full bottle, but I'm super happy Moroccanoil listened to their fans and did a perfume. It's something you definitely need to check out if you're a fan of the iconic Moroccanoil products scent!
