Gentle Sunshine or Gas Inferno?
...I asked myself before testing "Sun." The lettering on the bottle already looks dramatic. Compared to the other scents from Nicheend, however, the fragrance pyramid here is rather simple.
So what do I smell?
At first, the alcohol combines with the vanilla to create a rum note, which soon disappears. From then on: musk, amber, and vanilla. Heavier and darker than I expected - more like a gigantic gas ball with dark sunspots? After a while, the white flowers and vanilla emerge a bit more, making the scent a touch lighter, brighter, and warmer. There is a complete absence of heat association. Perhaps we are smelling the journey of sunlight, emitted from the inferno, then through the endless, deep, dark void, until it finally breaks through our clouds and warms our souls. Well.
I expected a bit of a fiery spectacle, but "Sun" is simply a nice musk-amber scent, pleasant, soft, slightly warm, and dry. It shares the elegance, softness, and high quality with fragrances from Xerjoff, but doesn’t undergo much development. The sillage is good, neither close to the skin nor overwhelming. A unisex fragrance for autumn and winter with a beautiful bottle. I find the price too high.
