Rose Adage Odette Parfum Co. 2024

This is a classically delicate and sweet watercolour rose. It's got a light, almost gummy sweetness to it, almost like the petals are made of jelly. I love these kinds of scents but I wish this was slightly more complex. This is also after smelling Moulin Rose which I think is my preference as it has a bit more "bite" and depth to it. I still rate this positively as there's nothing offensive about it, and is executed in a way that's sweet and pleasant. If you're a rose lover and you just need an easy reach for a classic sweet rose, this is worth trying. But if you're looking for a bit more challenge or nuance I think Moulin Rose is better suited.

A light, airy rose water without a hint of powder (thank god). The candied violet adds a bright, sweet touch, showing me just how beautifully versatile violet can be. I don’t usually like rose, but this one is changing my mind. The honeywood in the drydown was such a smart choice—it carries the fragrance so elegantly. I wish I had a travel size to wear-test it more.
