Jasmine instead of Iris
One Avenue has once again mixed up the names or blindly pulled from the grab bag. It is now called Iris, the second newcomer, where again what is on the label is not what is inside. It should be called Jasmine, but that name was already taken.
The beginning is fresh with a hint of bergamot and even less mango. There is a slight resemblance to Fame. But it quickly moves on with a bang, as one also wants to catch a whiff of vanilla pudding, ehm, the vanilla wave. So a vanilla-heavy oriental was quickly mixed in the lab. But it didn’t quite hit the mark. Jasmine loudly pushes forward, and so does incense. Amber, musk, and vanilla are added, and there you have the new fragrance. For me, it lacks harmony both in the front and the back. The main thing is loud, scratchy, and crashing.
For those who want to stand out at any cost, this is a great fragrance for little money. The only question is whether one stands out positively. I left the fragrance after a timid test. I prefer it more subtle, even if it is extraordinary. Sister Gardenia in delicate green, where there is no gardenia, fared better.
