Jasmineuse Spirituelle....
A spirit of jasmine that could originate from the Art Nouveau era. It approaches Art Deco... Angular volume of flowers, citrus fruits, and woods. Hardly any sweetness present, except for the natural one from jasmine. Not really bright white, shaded with emerald green veils, and a "texture" between velvet and sandpaper. The hint of sandalwood creates an almost three-dimensional depth that fades into the delicate distant realms of warm vanilla. The sweetness takes its time - and ultimately declines. It seeks the vastness with slightly peppery nuances. Towards the end, with a finely bitter radiance, the scent approaches the fragrance of a cool, damp day in late spring. Grasses exude green freshness (although nothing "grassy" is indicated here).
But it could come from petitgrain. Conceptually, the perfume is slightly unusual, as I intuitively associate "jasmine" and "lilies" with sweet, indolic, often animalistic white flowers. Yet here my nose finds nothing of the sort. Luckily for me - as it was once again due to a blind swap!
