Nice and refreshing

So I don't wanna give you a review like everybody else pretending that I know how every note smell, but I will give you every real realistic sense to MY NOSE of what this fragrance smells like, for me in the opening smells like minty sprite with baby cologne, and then as the fragrance settles, it smells like a refreshing more grown-up pillowy just with a hint of creamy baby cologne, but refreshing enough to use any time of the year, again to my nose, but I have to say it is extremely pleasant.

Refreshing Citruses with a Minty Opening

The notes will about tell you what this smells like, it really is just a refreshing citrus fragrance that provides a cooling sensation on those hot summer days. very strong very couple hours, hours 1-3 I could smell this coming off of my skin very strongly, tapers off after that but is still very strong until it dries down into a skin scent around hour 6. I have not had this fragrance come off my skin until I showered, it'll be a skin scent from hour 6 or 7 until you wash it off. Such a pleasant take on this minty citrus DNA with phenomenal performance. My only complaint is that the opening does come off pretty synthetic for the first few minutes, but after that it dries down into a very refreshing citrus and mint fragrance. It is an 8/10 summer fragrance for me, if the opening was more natural it would be 10.

More Sprite than Ice Candy

According to many influencers, this scent is supposed to remind one of ice candies.
Although I occasionally snack on those, I don't see any parallels here.
Rather, it is a mass-appealing fresh fragrance that, in my opinion, smells quite unique.

The opening is my highlight.
I don't know if the listed notes are accurate, but I get a beautiful, refreshing mix of lemon and slightly bitter lemon peel.
Shortly after this citrus explosion, a mint note kicks in, providing a pleasantly cooling effect.
A truly successful start.

However, I find the drydown a bit more challenging.
The lemon takes on a slight vibe of bathroom cleaner here, not excessively, but enough to bother me a little.
While the lemon remains very present, a floral note soon joins in.
It's hard to define whether it's jasmine or neroli, but I lean towards jasmine.
However, this note is by no means feminine; it harmonizes wonderfully with the lemon and gives the initially masculine scent a unisex tendency.
Still, it feels rather masculine to me (M70%/30%W).

The character remains intact until the end.
Refreshing, citrus-floral, hardly any sweetness, and slightly synthetic.
This synthetic quality almost reminds me of Sprite in the later stages.

On performance:
For a freshie, the performance is quite convincing.
In the first 1.5 - 2 hours, it projects above average, and by the sixth hour, you still have a scent bubble that you can perceive.
In the last one to two hours, the fragrance becomes more intimate.

Conclusion: A great, refreshing scent for summer.
While I somehow miss that certain something, it is still one of the better freshies I have tested in recent years.

Ice Candy in a Bottle

The Riiffs Freeze is marketed as a women's fragrance, but this is absolutely incomprehensible to me personally.

A man can wear it just as well, no ifs and buts.

The scent strongly reminds, as others have confirmed, of classic ice candies: icy, sweet-fresh, cooling. It is precisely this freshness that makes it extremely pleasant and surprisingly different from many standard freshies.

What really blew me away is its longevity. For such a fresh scent, around 10 hours is absolutely not a given.
The performance is also decent; it is noticeably present but not annoying to those around.

However, one should not compare it to high-end fragrances like Xerjoff Torino21 - that is a whole different league of freshies.

The Freeze clearly leans towards the cooling direction, but remains significantly simpler, which does not make it worse, just different.
And clearly, the price-performance ratio is absolutely fitting here.

In the supermarket, I stroll past the…

…shelves and at the candy aisle, I see a pack of sweets that reminds me of my youth. Ice candies. Oh, what the heck, it’s hot outside anyway, so why not, I take a pack and put it in my cart and head to the checkout. I pay for my groceries and pack everything into the bag. The bag with the candies doesn’t make it far; it gets opened right on the spot. And whoosh, one of the candies is in my mouth. Yes, it cools the mouth and throat immediately. But I didn’t remember it being this sweet. Yet again, I see the images of my childhood in the 70s and leave the supermarket with a smile.

When applying this fragrance, you first get a citrusy icy sweet scent with a spiciness in your nose. Floral and fruity berry accords blend in as well. Later, something resinous, green, mossy, and dry comes into play. The freshness remains intact.

The longevity and sillage are good.

Here we have a fragrance that spreads a delightful freshness and is very pleasing. It is perfectly unisex and can be worn by both men and women of any age. Yes, it is a scent for warm and hot days, but personally, I also see it fitting for cold days, as it spreads good vibes with its summery spirit. It can be worn during the day as well as in the evening for any occasion.

Anyone who likes a citrusy icy sweet spicy floral fruity berry resinous green mossy dry scent for quite a small amount of money is exactly right here. I see only a limited similarity to "Oceania (Eau de Parfum) | Roja Parfums." For me, it is quite independent. And please don’t misunderstand, the scent from Roja is simply more complex, but doesn’t last as well.
