A really successful alternative to the JPG Scandal OG
With Rose de Soleil I didn't have to think long about what kind of dupe it was.
Without thinking twice, I thought it was Scandal.
I don't know if the fragrance notes are right, but in the opening I perceive something floral and a viscous sweetness that you know from Scandal.
Not the slightest trace of mandarin or clary sage.
The fragrance is very linear, even in the DD floral notes such as jasmine or gardenia are strangely prominent, together with a honey note that smells a little less like honey compared to Scandal.
According to the fragrance pyramid, it's supposed to be caramel, well I don't know, I don't think caramel smells like that.
Scandal is slightly sweeter, higher quality and more complex.
Rose de Soleil is a bit flat and quite linear, but the Riiffs still comes 85%-90% close to the original.
If I had smelled the RdS on a woman outside, I would be pretty sure it was Scandal.
You really only notice differences in the air if you own the fragrance and have smelled it a thousand times, but even then the differences are hard to spot.
H/S not as strong as the original, but this can also be an advantage because the JPG can be too much for some people.
Nevertheless, the Riiffs should last a working day.
The sillage is slightly above average.
The declaration as a women's fragrance is definitely correct here, RdS is so feminine that I would find it difficult to imagine it on a man (W100%/0%M).
My conclusion: For little money you get a very similar fragrance to Scandal.
Nevertheless, I would spend a little more money and get the original, mainly because of the higher quality and better performance.
However, if you are short of money or don't want to spend so much money, then the Riiffs is a really good alternative.
