A very slightly smoky amber fragrance
Amber & Woods is a solid fragrance that I really like.
The word amber in the fragrance really fits perfectly here. We have a totally ambery fragrance here, which for me also has certain parallels to a grandiose fragrance.
I am referring to Rosendo Mateu No. 5, which for me is a masterpiece of an amber fragrance. Compared to Amber & Woods, however, it is noticeably sweeter, deeper, not quite as "rough" and not as synthetic.
Amber & Woods is reminiscent of Rosendo Mateu's No.5 and wraps the whole thing in a slightly smoky veil.
That doesn't sound too bad and perhaps that's what makes it so interesting. Unfortunately, however, the whole thing seems a little unrounded in parts, as there is already a noticeable synthetic quality.
In other words, we have a fragrance here that has a good dose of amber, a smoky veil and a certain synthetic quality. It is also subtly sweet, slightly woody and has a great spicy factor with the saffron. Apart from that, the musk also becomes noticeable as time goes on. I cannot recognize the mossy notes or, for example, orange throughout the fragrance. However, fragrances are very subjective and so it can look completely different on person X.
All in all, it is still an interesting fragrance that is not badly made.
It doesn't completely win me over, but I would still wear it and definitely recommend it for testing. Whereby everything should actually be tested.
The performance is completely solid with a durability of approx. 8 hours and sufficient projection.
However, these are of course all statements regarding my skin and my personal perception, which can also vary from person to person!
Amber & Woods is also a prime example of a unisex fragrance. This fragrance can be worn super well by both men and women.
