Imagine the hotel

The opening for me is a pepper and creamy orris bomb. It then settles down to a dusty and maybe even crusty wood lol I wouldn’t say I get pickles from this, but there is something a little bit screechy and unappealing about it unfortunately. It lasts a good amount on skin and clothing as well, but the overall experience with this perfume is not pleasant and it’s just a little too weird to enjoy as a perfume.

I would say it reminds me of an old room that has white sheets covering furniture, which maybe could be pleasant for some people in a hotel setting but as a perfume, it is a no for me.

Pickle juice, spicy herbal salad dressing and BO?

I'm kind of baffled at how much this scent is rated high (7.5 at the time of this review), although I will admit there aren't a lot of people who have it in their collection / have rated it. This is absolutely strange to me that so many people seem to enjoy it, while I almost scrubbed it off myself.

I will say that I have never smelled anything like it, which could be agood thing, but for this one it's a bad thing. Most of its opening smells weird, like pickle juice or a strong herbal salad dressing (?) trying to cover BO. I have the impression that angelica seeds are the culprit for the BO and pink pepper has that weird spiciness that doesn't fare well with the tangerine's ctrusy aspect. I think papyrus might be the culprit for that green, salad thing going on here. As it dries down, I start getting a carrot scent that further reinforces that whole salad vibe. Made me realize I do not want to smell like straight carrot (which I never thought would be something I'd think about). Drydown is a bit more floral, powdery, but also weirdly green and synthetic with some warm muskiness.

It's overall very jarring and disconcerting. I don't get how or why people love this scent. Could be a skin chemistry issue or something, but it won't be making it into my collection. Very strange scent...
