Tobacco and rum with a smoky incense
The child of Tobacco Vanille Eau de Parfum and Angels' Share Eau de Parfum is how I can best describe it. It has a very intense and strong start with rum leaving a sharp sting in your nose. It's also accompanied by a smoky incense accord even though it's listed nowhere in the notes. It has an oddly fresh start that seems to linger for awhile (juniper berries?). As it dries down, tobacco starts to mingle in. It's dark, woody and quite intense, very close to what cigarette smells like which was a complete turn off to me. I also get some spiciness, probably from the saffron that's buried underneath both stars of this perfume (tobacco and rum). Drydown becomes woody and warm, but also powdery and slightly sweet while rum still remains at the front of the fragrance.
It's defintely something I've smelled before and has that designer flair to it. It does fit interestingly its name quite well. I wouldn't wear this since I'm not a fan of rum and tobacco, but it was part of my discovery kit so I just had to try it out. Might be something good if you enjoy Tom Ford and Killian's aforementioned fragrances.
