Stardust
"Amita | Spezierie Palazzo Vecchio / I Profumi di Firenze" had been on my wishlist for a while, and then I received it from the lovely Opalmond in an elegant gift package.
BillyBumbler wrote an excellent statement about this fragrance, and I can fully agree with her. I also had citrus stars in mind, although it took a little while. You have to approach it slowly to understand it, and then just let it unfold on you with much enjoyment and relaxation. Here, you get quite a lot for not too much money, and I haven't come across a similar scent yet. It is authentic and somehow unique.
This Italian beauty starts with a warm breeze of countless flowers that do not overwhelm but rather gently approach the wearer. Leading the way is a well-balanced iris, which also brings a hint of lilac. Soon, a warm blanket of orange and myrrh envelops the wearer. Velvety tones of spices join in, making everything feel full. Citrus flutters in the warm wind, bringing along a bit of anise and tobacco, beautifully framed by a soft, earthy note that almost becomes creamy. Then, many citrus stars dissolve, turning into fine stardust. This spreads across the warm skin, sinking deep into every pore. Powdery, sweet facets brighten the horizon. Everything feels so soft, so secure, with a hint of childlike innocence that does not detract from the fragrance. On the contrary.
Towards the end, it takes on a slightly vanilla note, which fits just right. The berry finish comes across a bit uneven, but the stardust remains present until the end. Very consistent overall, with solid longevity. The bottle is kept simple, but serves its purpose and matches the perfume. No intrusiveness from so many components. In no way. Impressive. It harmonizes and just fits together perfectly.
