Strawberry Ice Cream

Aaahh, one of those hot summer days and you crave a big ice cream, strawberry ice cream with a hint of vanilla and cream, topped with cool, sweet, juicy, delicious strawberries marinated in sugar. I love that ice cream. The perfume, dating back to 1950, exudes the exact essence of a delicious strawberry ice cream, yet it does not come across as overpowering or sticky to my nose, but simply incredibly delicious. Those who enjoy these fragrance directions will love it, just like I do. It has been my favorite scent for a year now, one that I continuously enjoy wearing.

Like at the Herbal Candy Stand

I received the scent as a sample at the souk and tested it for the first time today. It smells wonderful - I wouldn't have thought of "sugar" at all, because to me it smells exactly like those herbal candies that you can buy at the Christmas market in winter or at certain stands. I mainly smell anise and/or fennel, and of course sugar. Here in the city, there is always a stand in winter that smells just like this when you walk by. Delicious. I will definitely be ordering this soon, because the price for this great scent isn't high at all :-)

Candy to the power of 10

---->Encounter:
I walked into my friend's house. It smelled incredibly sweet. Very pleasant. Like candy or something. During the left kiss-right kiss exchange, it was clear, it was her!!!! It was Prima Donna on my friend's neck. :)

--> The Scent
It smells very unique! I usually don't go for candy perfumes... I always find them too heavy and overwhelming! Most of them have so much overpowering artificial vanilla in them that it makes me feel sick. I'm more of a flower-loving sun person :D
But this one is different! It captivated me immediately! It doesn't have that weird note... I always call it the "Jean Paul Gaultier - le male" note or the Bruno Banani-Lover note! :D It's more fresh and citrusy rather than sweet/heavy, without actually smelling citrusy. The scent is really mega sweet. But it comes across as pure and clear! Like a sugar candy! It's somewhat childish, but there is indeed a Prima Donna in there that knocks you off your feet! The packaging somehow doesn't fit. Blue makes little sense; for me, it's a candy scent :)

--> Conclusion
The scent is very extraordinary and interesting. I haven't come across anything like it before. But you probably have to be a candy type. As a flower type, I really like the scent, but I can't identify with it. The scent is vegan! TOP

...hits it quite well.
A cheeky scent with a slightly citrus note, sugar, and pink pepper.
Upon spraying, the pepper lightly tickles my nose, and a citrus note (pink grapefruit) spreads. For a brief moment, I associate it with blood orange lemonade 'Lemonaid'. However, this cloud dissipates quite quickly, leaving behind a damn sugary, pink candy scent. I don't like it at all; amusingly, the fragrances I want to get rid of the fastest tend to linger the longest on my skin. It probably just seems that way to me because people tend to notice what they dislike rather than paying more attention to the positive aspects.
Although I really enjoy wearing sweet and fairytale-like scents (even though my mother always says I'm an adult and thus too old to wear such 'teenage fragrances'), this one smells to me after about 30 minutes really ONLY of sugar and is too... childish for me, even though I like to pretend to be younger than I actually am :)
BUT my 18-year-old sister thinks Prima Donna is fantastic, snatched my sample, and immediately ordered the body spray and deodorant from the same fragrance family.
Well, perceptions can be so different.
In various forums, Prima Donna/Anno 1920 is totally hyped; the scent polarizes, you either love it or hate it. That's why I just had to test it to be able to give my two cents.
A truly extraordinary scent because it is so extremely... 'mono'. Pink sugar, and more pink sugar. If you like sugary scents and want something that lasts long, has a completely coordinated care line, is affordable, AND stands out from the crowd, you should definitely test this one. I've never been approached about a fragrance as often as on the day I wore it.
