The Calm…
Fragrance for Winter.

It starts with an intense rose note at the top with a bright saffron in the background.

Then caramel and vanilla join in, transforming the initially rosy scent into a very gourmand character.

While the sweetness remains throughout the fragrance journey, a hint of patchouli comes in between. This gives the scent a lightly earthy oriental quality and a certain depth. The "oudh" is also rather earthy, which adds a pleasant fullness to the fragrance. The scent changes little over time, remaining a sweet-rosy-earthy gourmand.

It is not a fragrance to stand out particularly, but rather one to feel comfortable in.

I see this oriental gourmand in winter - outside it’s icy cold and inside cozy warm by the fireplace.

H/S for the price is absolutely fine, not outstanding but completely adequate.

The fragrance is highly recommended for those who want to explore the gourmand direction.

Edit: I would like to place the fragrance at 7.75 points, as it lacks that certain something for an 8, and 7.5 is actually too little for what it does.

the Mysterious
Oud Al Sayad smells warm, spicy, and mysterious. One must always keep the price of this fragrance in mind, as it could easily cost 3-4 times more!

At the beginning, one can perceive notes of caramel, vanilla, and oud, but the main star remains the opulent rose. This has been beautifully crafted and definitely does not come across as kitschy! It is masculine enough to be considered unisex! So men, dare to try it!

Over time, Oud Al Sayad becomes increasingly woody and slightly smoky! Here, one can detect the oud, incense, and sandalwood.

Sillage and longevity are really good, even though it is not a beast mode fragrance. If applied carefully, one could even dare to wear it in the office. Best in autumn/winter, as it feels most comfortable in the cold.

Decide for yourselves.

A Quite Successful Oriental for Winter
Even though I have grown weary of these opulent "oud-gourmand-oriental fragrances," I find "Oud Al Sayad | Ard Al Zaafaran / ارض الزعفران التجارية" to be quite successful. The longevity on my skin is around 12 hours with a pleasing sillage.

The top note is sweet and gourmand with aromas of caramel, amber, vanilla, as well as pralines with dark chocolate and cocoa. The heart note features oriental spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and benzoin. In the base, there are woody and subtly smoky hints of sandalwood, oud, frankincense, and cedarwood.

I find "Oud Al Sayad | Ard Al Zaafaran / ارض الزعفران التجارية" to be quite pleasant, although it was too sweet for my colleague. I will probably keep the bottle out of my collection, as I am not completely convinced.

Must-Have Bargain for the Cold Season!
With Oud Al Sayad from Ard Al Zaafaran, I don't pick up any bergamot at all. It’s a really beautiful, heavy, slightly fruity scent - perfect for those looking for something with impact. Longevity and sillage are amazing, really long-lasting and well noticeable. Now here’s the kicker: For a mere €20, you get a fragrance that truly doesn’t need to hide. This is not a cheap knockoff, but a truly independent scent that easily outshines some of the expensive niche perfumes. I am totally thrilled; you really can’t go wrong here! Must-have for the cold season.

An oriental dense, sweet, spicy and smoky, with an ambered vanilla, lovely. Unsurpassed quality/price, extraordinary performance.

Smells exactly like lattafa oud mood or Lancome oud bouquet, or many others by Lattafa. Sweet caramel like oud fragrance.

Sweet, especially sweet. Not unpleasant, not sugary, but quite shallow and monotonous. Creamy, soft, dense, rosy sweetness.

My Syrian best friend: "Smells like Arabs baking chocolate cake." Warm, not sticky gourmand sweetness + oud. Fits better than it sounds!

What a beast. Oud really takes the lead here. The citrus & fruity notes were completely absent for me. Smoky, creamy, and heavy.

Oriental - practical - good! This oud perfume is a bit animalistic at first, but not bothersome - so no "stinker", it becomes caramel-like.

Such a beautiful & warm chocolate-oud oriental with what I believe is niche quality.
And that for under €10 (2023).

Pleasant oriental gourmand, gentle oud, slightly smoky/leathery for me.
Sillage is good, price is great. Worth a try.
