Vive le Tour!
The biggest of the stage races,
millions of hearts burning
Tourmalet, Champs-Élysée,
but first we go to Galibier

Alps or Pyrenees
mountains, forests, villages, lakes
On the pedals, power galore,
stage finish, 2000 watts

Snow-covered alpine grass,
long distances, a farce
Allez, Allez in the peloton
and up front "Attaque de Pierre Rolland!"

Heroes of many nations
are once again fighting for the crown,
climbing now in the climbing position
up the pass, a hellish ride!

Expensive frames made of carbon,
not light enough, time is lost
In the end, the winner wears yellow,
a stone surely falls from his heart.

Nut Cake with Vanilla Cream
120 g butter
220 g sugar
4 eggs
150 g flour
130 g nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts, or finely ground almonds)
60 ml milk or water
1 packet baking powder
1 pinch of salt
100 g roasted almond flakes
100 g whipped cream and a handful of iris flowers for decoration

For the cream:
1 packet vanilla pudding
40 g sugar
200 g cream
1 packet cream stabilizer
400 ml milk
1 piece of vanilla pod

So, first the milk with the sugar...

Oh, oops! This is Parfumo and not Chefkoch.de! I must have made a mistake, how embarrassing...
Well, I shouldn't be surprised, because this scent evokes strong feelings of Christmas baking in me. In my opinion, it's a gourmand through and through.

After the initial mandarin, the fragrance transforms into an incredibly powdery, creamy vanilla-iris blend, to which a barely noticeable hint of leather later joins. This combination is so delicious that my wrist develops an almost insurmountable attraction to my nose after spraying. Warning: Regular use may lead to addiction, not cool Valentino!

Now, jokes aside, for someone who loves sweet scents, Uomo Intense must be the ultimate. I was rather averse to this category of perfumes until recently, but this one has converted me. It doesn't come off sticky or overpowering like most other gourmands, and this despite having above-average longevity and sillage. Rather subtle, high-quality, and a bit luxurious, which is probably thanks to the iris. Perfect for going out or in leisure time.

I have found my winter fragrance with this and am now enjoying my nut cake with vanilla cream. You can find the complete recipe for this at the following address: http://www.monika-triebenbacher.de/2015/12/nuss-torte-mit-vanillecreme/

No fragrance to write fairy tales about...
but a solid everyday scent that swims along with the current of the times.
In fact, I am someone who enjoys writing stories about fragrances and letting them take me on a journey, but with this one, it just doesn’t work. The scent progression is about as linear as a broomstick, and reading the notes feels like just having taken half a box of Hoggar™ Night.

“Laaaangweilig!” many are now shouting, and they are right, because they are perfume lovers with an "eLeGaNt TaSte" who probably douse themselves in Andy Tauer every day. They say Explorer is copied, “How can anyone like this? Yuck! Ugh! Never! 1 star!”

In reality, however, it looks different. Most people are not elite noses and simply do not care about the rarity or uniqueness of a fragrance; they just want to smell good for half a day, and for that, Explorer is perfect.

Fruity-fresh with a bit of smoke and vetiver for character, great longevity and sillage, and all for little money:
Your friends like it
Your parents like it
Your bank account likes it
and especially Chantal from the secretariat likes it ;)
only you don’t like it because your ego won’t allow you to appreciate something from the mainstream. Sad, really.

I’m Getting Seasick.
No, really! I’m on a large container ship in the middle of the Indian Ocean, leaning against the railing; it’s noon in the height of summer. We’ve only loaded watermelons. Due to the rough seas last night, some of the fruits have been damaged. Their juice is now dripping from the hundreds of containers behind me and is turning into a thick syrup in the sultry summer heat.

I look down the side of the ship and stare far below into the passing ocean. It looks dark, murky, and mysterious. At the edge of the ship, a crusty layer of salt, algae, and all sorts of seaweed has formed. The musty, decayed scent of this mixture combined with the melon-soaked sea breeze fills my nose. The situation is romantic, but also somewhat oppressive.

The waves powerfully roll along the ship, making it sway. I’m feeling a bit queasy. I probably shouldn’t spend so much time at the edge of the ship. I want to be back on land.

This is how Bvlgari's Aqua classic smells to me. The algae-mineral notes make it quite interesting and unusual, especially because it smells much more authentically of the sea than most other aquatic fragrances. It is fresh but also a bit more characterful, making it suitable for mild temperatures.

Longevity and sillage are not very strong, which in this case is not necessarily a bad thing. With frequent sniffing, I even find it a bit overpowering, so be cautious with the dosage!

Armani's Garden Art
My attention was first caught by Eau d'Arômes due to its beautiful bottle. So simple yet so elegant. I am especially taken by the deep orange. It's the kind of thing you want to display right at the front on your dresser!

The fragrance is more suited for warm days, but it could also be worn in winter, especially because it has a spicy note alongside the juicy, ripe mandarin. And that is what makes it interesting. It doesn't bore with the standard citrus that countless other summer fragrances offer; instead, it has other ingredients that make it feel warmer and a bit darker, without losing its freshness.

Whenever I smell Eau d'Arômes, I think of a shady path in a wild Italian park, at the end of which stands a gnarled pine tree, rough rocks, and the Mediterranean in the background. I can't say why I have this particular image in my mind, but I just can't shake it off. Well, I think this Mediterranean backdrop fits the fragrance very well.

Unfortunately, the fragrance has a very unpleasant, headache-inducing acidity in the early stages, which I attribute to the ginger. Fortunately, this note disappears after one and a half to two hours, and it continues pleasantly from there.
However, the biggest drawback of this fragrance remains its weak sillage; after 3 hours, it is basically a skin scent. It's really a shame for such a beautifully composed fragrance. Giorgio, that was almost a bullseye!
