When I first bought this fragrance I was really able to pick up the cold milk accord and I really loved it. It actually smelled like a tall glass of cold milk. The more I wore Milk expressive the more I started to pick up the mahogany wood and I didn’t like it anymore. Now I smell sugary sweet marshmallows when I spray it on my clothes and I like it again. I didn’t expect my perception of the fragrance to change so much.

I’ve never smelled the original metallique but after watching opinionated scents on YouTube talk about powdery Hawthorn, I wanted to try dossier’s version. When I first smelled it and wore it, it smelled like a pizza box which is so strange and so specific. I put it away for months. I gave it another try and it smelled completely different. Now when I wear it (mostly to work or to bed) it smells like dense vanilla soap bubbles with a little black pepper. I love it.

This smells so good. On my clothes it smells like a very fluffy and smooth orange musky cloud. I’ve heard reviewers call it an orange milk bath and that’s pretty accurate. It’s very comforting and clean. However, I only get that beautiful scent on my clothes. I cannot stand this scent on my skin. It’s like it breaks a part on my skin and becomes unbearably synthetic and sharp. So I spray my clothes and let it dry down then get dressed. I probably won’t repurchase for that reason. I love the scent but I hate that I have to strategize to wear it.

This is pleasantly spicy. It’s sweet and creamy in a very luxurious way. When I sampled this I was so pleased by the nutmeg. It’s very prominent and I feel like the nutmeg is such an amazing choice as opposed to pepper or cinnamon. I haven’t smelled anything with such a prominent nutmeg note and it stays for the whole life of the fragrance. I have the oil and the eau de parfum.

Thankfully, I don’t smell any coconut, but maybe that’s where the creaminess comes from. I can’t stand solar notes, sun tan lotion scents or creamy coconut scents. This is more like a wearable warm nutmeg spiced carnation evaporated milk. It’s so cozy.

On my skin this fragrance smells like a rubber eraser which is what I think about when fragrance reviewers say that it smells like new clothes. I don’t like that smell at all.

Thankfully, on my clothes it smells like sweet, nutty, lightly powdery or maybe suede. It’s very comforting. So I never spray my skin only my clothes.
