A clean laundry scent

Et Voilà is a scent that that mainly evokes associations to clean laundry, fresh soap and calm inoffensive demeanor. Aldehydes and white musk notes are the ones that stick out primarily to me, the ones that I sense most out of all that are mentioned.

This is a very familiar fragrance, it reminds me of Byredo Blanche, I'm sure Clean (Reserve) line has some fragrances in similar vain. All in all, this is a very people friendly fragrance, which I'm sure can be worn to work, in everyday settings.

The girls who get it, get it

Was not expecting to like this as much as I do; aldehydes aren't really my thing yet I've been thinking about Et Voilà for weeks. Starts out with a very nostalgic, almost stinging white soap smell that's immediately balanced by the neroli. If you can get past the initial spray, everything after is so much better. Simple and refined, but evidently not for everyone. It reminds me of sleepovers with my grandmother and her White Diamonds powder puff. Makes me fell clean, cozy, and loved.

I enjoy it on it's own but I've been layering it with a simple cocoa butter lotion that adds a little creamy boost.

The assignment was 'smell like clean laundry'. Et Voilà nailed it. I appreciate it for what it is. There is a time and a place for this.

Fresh & white floral contrasted against overpowering aldehydes that smell like straight soap. Very much comparable to Amouage's Dia Woman.
