My No. 1
Vanitas has been my signature scent for a long time. Together with the subtly perceivable orange blossom, it has a distinctive recognizability. The fragrance envelops me like a veil and radiates presence, but not overwhelming, in the room.
Today I wore it again after a long time, and with each breath, it opened doors to special moments and to a person who lives deep in my heart. It allows me to relive all events, all feelings, all longings once more.
No other perfume in my collection holds such value for me. Because nothing in this world embodies my most beautiful memories and feelings as much as Vanitas.

Powdery Masterpiece
Gently, the noble powderiness wraps around me like the softest and most beautiful embrace. I feel safe and secure in your presence. The spiciness symbolizes how exciting it is to be with you. Like a true gentleman, you protect me and show me how beautiful life can be with Dior Homme Intense.
To be honest, this sounds like a beautiful declaration of love - and it is - but it wasn't always like this.
When I first smelled Dior Homme Intense, I was a few years younger and the fragrance was (probably) too mature for me. In my opinion, this is more of a scent for at least those over 20, as this fragrance embodies maturity, self-confidence, and, as mentioned above, a distinguished gentleman.
However, when I met the right person for me and experienced this scent with them, I was completely captivated.
I also enjoy wearing the fragrance. Interestingly, it comes off much sweeter and spicier on my skin than on my boyfriend's skin. There, it develops much more powdery.
The performance of the fragrance has noticeably decreased with the new batches, but it remains a masterpiece of iris.

Frankincense & Oud… where are you?
I was so excited about this release. La vie est Belle was my first designer fragrance back then, and I wore it so much that I can no longer smell it.
When I heard about this release, I thought, "Oh, not another flanker," but when I read about frankincense and oud, it quickly became clear to me - I MUST test it!
Now that I have tested it, my conclusion is - I am very disappointed.
The frankincense is listed in the top notes, and unfortunately, you can only perceive it there. I also only smell a bit of the oud at the beginning, which made me think that this too is only in the top notes, even though it represents the base.
In the end, sadly, only the worn-out La vie est Belle DNA remains on my skin. If the scent had stayed as it was right after spraying, it would have had a niche character for me and would definitely have found a place in my collection!
What a shame about the wasted potential.

Freshly Washed Laundry by the Flower Bed
It’s a beautiful summer day, the sun is shining, and I take the opportunity to hang the laundry in the garden. The creamy-fruity scent of the fabric softener greets me, paired with the fresh smell of the laundry detergent. A light breeze blows, carrying a wonderful floral fragrance to my nose.
When you combine all these impressions, you get a rough idea of Pompei Garden. For many, it may seem unremarkable, I admit - it’s definitely not something new and not highly special either. However, for me, everything fits with this scent; it is beautifully balanced, perfect for everyday wear, and in my eyes, a no-brainer for any season.
The price-performance ratio is unbeatable for a niche fragrance, especially of this quality!
