This is a very pretty fragrance. I wasn't sure how mimosa and iris would work together, as it seemed like a very unusual combination, but I am surprised to find that they complement each other very well. The mimosa starts out sweet, but the green notes and bergamot keep the sweetness in check. Then iris joins the mix, adding a lightly powdery, clean facet. I love the addition of violet leaf in fragrances, finding it adds a lovely garden-fresh dimension whenever used. It is no different here, giving this fragrance a freshness that's not typical of iris dominant perfumes. This is not the usual powdery iris fragrance with the obligatory vanilla note, so if you expect that you may be disappointed here. While I like those Iris fragrances too, this is very different. It's bright, light, and crisp and has an upbeat quality about it. Performance wise, I get excellent silage and longevity. Not beast mode, but I was aware of it most of the day. While this is a strong like right now, it has potential to become a love.

This is a truly beautiful and unusual take on a tuberose scent. The perfumer, Honorine Blanc, did for Tuberose what Francis Kurkdjian did for Gardenia in Elie Saab's Essence No. 2 Gardenia. She took a normally heavy floral note and made it light and fresh, while still managing to retain the essence and opulence and richness of that creamy, lush flower. Perfectly proportioned, perfectly balanced, as light and sheer as chiffon, and just as soft. I think this can be worn anytime, anywhere, both work and play, since there is no high drama here. Just a beautiful floral that creates a lovely gossamer aura around you. Has excellent silage and longevity too; and while very expensive, it's clear quality makes it worth every penny. This is full bottle and signature scent worthy in my book.

I first read about this scent in Luca Turin's The Guide last year. He raved about it having an authentic Lily note. I managed to snag a bottle last week and on receiving it was struck by how adorable the whole package was. The nubbed milk glass bottle with the bow is super cute; and the box, with flowery artwork reminiscent of 60s psychedelic pop art, fit the look perfectly. I thought with packaging like that this would make a great gift for a teen. But then I tried the scent and found the juice inside totally belies the exterior packaging. This is a very womanly fragrance. Slightly aquatic, very floral, with jasmine, lotv, and lily the most prominent. I am also getting a little bit of tuberose not listed in the notes. While not sweet, as it wears on a slightly sweet creamy vanilla and silky wood notes round it out.

There is nothing particularly groundbreaking here. It is a simple floral scent; and while the lily is nice, it is not the best lily fragrance I've ever smelled. For me, that would be Baiser Vole. But though simple, it is a very pretty scent that I think would be especially nice worn in the spring and summer. Best yet, it doesn't have that Avon signature smell, or whatever it is that makes you think of a fragrance as an Avon fragrance. (I still haven't figured out what that is but it's definitely there in too many of their perfumes.) As to the authentic lily note LT spoke of, while it does smell very much like lily, it is not the pure lily soliflore scent he claimed as it is too much of a mixed bouquet to be that. Still, I agree that the fragrance is very nice.

From what I understand, when this fragrance was launched it was part of a pair of mother daughter perfumes, with the fragrance Petal, in a smaller, pink bottle, being for the child. I think that is such a sweet idea. Of course, an idea like that could only have come from a company like Avon.

A creamy, milky gardenia with a musky presence. While some think it is indolic, it doesn't come off that way to me, especially in comparison to something like Lush Lust, Jasmin Antique, or other heavily indolic floral scents. This is an in full-bloom, sweetly scented gardenia. It is very rich and creamy and conjures up an image of a bowl of sweet, whipped cream. Silage is big, so only a few sprays are needed. Longevity is fantastic too. If you like gardenia dominant scents, this is one to try.

I love Lily in perfumes. I think it is my favorite note, but if not done right can wind up smelling like cheap soap. This has to be my favorite lily perfume to date. I know that it has other florals in it, but what stands out is this beautiful, slightly spicy, vanilla tinged Casablanca Lily. As a point of reference my favorite Lily perfumes are Cartier Baiser Vole and Tom Ford's Shanghai Lily, with Gucci Bamboo, Liz Taylor's Sparkling White Diamonds, and Donna Karan's Gold running close behind. But there is something about this one, something that has that little extra Oomph that I can't quite define (another note, the orange blossom perhaps, or maybe the blending?) that hits this right out of the park for me. Silage and longevity are fantastic too. I absolutely love it!
