Roma was one of the first big perfume loves in my youth, when I started to be interested in perfume at all :)
I loved antiquity and was very much into Greek and Roman mythology and at the same time I fell in love with the music of Rondo Veneziano at that time, which was so new and extraordinary "Classic meets Pop".... Awesome!
And this included, appropriately enough, Roma by Laura Biagiotti in this (as I found at the time) beautiful column bottle.
When I smell my still existing old bottle today, so many memories come back. Roma is a classic... many other perfumes came and went over the many years and were sometimes discontinued .... but Roma remained.
I used to read about the bad new reformulations and didn't dare buy Roma anymore for fear of being disappointed.
In recent years, I have known so many fragrances and briefly I was also in love. But when I very rarely smell my old Roma bottle, I have to say that nowadays it can still absolutely keep up. I find this fragrance somehow timelessly beautiful and I think I'll get myself one of these new bottles soon.

It would be nice if Roma would become my daily companion again...somehow I missed it without realizing it.

What can I say about this newly launched fragrance that does it justice?
Daymon arrived today with me and the bottle itself is an absolute dream....very unusual and individual. Each bottle is unique and so I was very excited when I was allowed to unveil it today from its precious packaging.
One notices immediately with how much love this perfume was brought into the world!
I am still very new in the field of non-fragrances and thus I just wanted to get involved and jump into the deep end by ordering it directly from Mendittorosa in Italy. There was still nowhere a way to test.

First of all... i like it! In fact, I like it a lot!
It's a very complex fragrance that evolves beautifully on my skin.
Immediately after spraying it on, a very pleasant, mineral and original scent rises to my nose.
I immediately think of stones... a whole sea of stones!
It continues then with a not too sweet cinnamon note, which lingers but only briefly.
The fragrance develops into something very soft, precious and harmonious whole. For me, he goes rather in the feminine direction, depending on the type, I could imagine him but in its later development also good on a man (although there may not be too many men who would like to wear it - so my spontaneous feeling about it).

My association with this fragrance:
I see a warm country.
There is a beautiful bay with bright, turquoise water.
This bay is nestled all around in a large sea of rocks.
A campfire is burning...Someone has brought a guitar and is playing a happy song. People are dancing freely through the hot sand, celebrating life.
And only when you hug each other.... very close... then you can feel Daymon very gently on your sun-warmed skin, because Daymon can connect people's souls.

This fragrance doesn't want to overpower or stand out. I find it to be very close to the body, beautiful, velvety and soft.
Now that it's been breathing on my skin for a while, I can't smell out any individual ingredients. I may not be a professional enough for that.
But in its entirety, it is an absolutely special and extravagant fragrance, which for me, just because of its exceptionality and gentleness has the potential to the signature fragrance! Such a fragrance I have not yet smelled.
Daymon is a dream come true for me.

Ok, today I have freed this bottle from a swap package of a dear Parfuma.
It was a blind swap... actually, I was skeptical of this perfume even before the exchange... Decadence... what a name and then also such a silly little bag "pffft" (for me personally, one of the most horrible bottles ever!!).... so if there is ever a woman on this planet who is so NOT a lady, then yes, me!
But curiosity was too much, so I had swapped.
Now, as I was saying, I hold this ladylike little bag in my hand.... spray me the concoction on the skin (no, no test strip, right into the full, either all or not at all ;) ) ... sniff.... oh god... it bites me!!!
Immediately I have this dino in mind, which I saw yesterday here on a really brilliant perfume photo. Yes - that fits... a little TRex is biting my arm right now.... uargh... what was I thinking, or better yet - what was I expecting???
Hmm... ok... that was a no go I guess.
I put the bottle in the dark closet (which is just what you do with bitey dinos), door closed...perfumo on...it goes into the souk.... IMMEDIATELY!!!
But wait a minute... whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa... what's happening on my skin right now? Is he getting soft? Is the TRex laying down to sleep? Hmm... maybe I'll give it a little more time. Let's think about it.
But I've got to get going...
I'll take him with me, I don't know why.
I smell it.
Over and over again.
It's very strong.
He drags me out of my cozy sweater.
Headache candidate.
I open the window of the car.... i gasp for air.
Maybe I had overdone it with 3 pump shots.
And always the image of that little biting TRex comes into my head.
That image really fits like a glove!
I'm going to my mother's house.
She knows me well.
She knows there's a world of difference between me and decadence.... Light years!
I show her the little green perfume bottle bag....
She: "Oooh is that cute!!
... sniffs it...
"Oh yes - that suits you"....
Me: "Waaaaaas???.... not serious - i'm shocked!"
That's pretty much how it happened.
Yes and now I'm sitting here with the dinopar perfume bottle bag and I don't know what's going to become of us.... but I'm watching this again a bit out of the thicket ;)
And by the way...a big respect to all of you who have read this far, because I really have written NOTHING, but NOTHING at all about the fragrance "haha" :))
But I had to get rid of that now ;)

I smell all the time about the Granny Smith note.... and since I love apple scent very much, I like it of course very much to perceive this also very long. No trace of currants at all. But I actually smell the clover out. Please don't ask me what clover smells like, but that's exactly how I imagine it. The scent reminds me of something and I can't put it into words just yet. It's constantly changing, somehow not really tangible, but at the same time fresh and extraordinary. Admittedly a bit synthetic...but I almost think I like it :) Personally, I don't see Dylan Blue on a business woman at all, but rather on a strong, confident woman who needs nothing more than her blue jeans, a plain t-shirt and this fragrance! I grew up in the 80's and I see a movie in front of me... "The Outsiders"...it could feature the woman wearing this fragrance.... with Patrick Swayze, Rob Lowe and Matt Dillon. Hmmm... I'm really curious how the story goes on with us..

Yesterday I had a pretty weird encounter with scent... ...and there was a sample of Montale Chocolate Chocolate Greedy in it.
I sprayed it on the back of my hand and my first reaction was...
"Yuck"... "gag"...
and quickly rubbed off my skin, washed my hands.
Ugh, spider... Chocolate in a perfume... yuck... it's not possible!
How can you!!!

Hours later on the couch... hmmm... what smells so good? Is this still the Montale? Yeah, obviously! Oh come on... maybe you got it wrong... just spray it again.
Ooooooh how good is this one? Say it and check out the online shops, where you can buy it and think about if it could be a christmas wish :)))

Today I was completely in the diesel with the test tube to test the reaction of my work colleagues "hahaha"... but they didn't say anything - these scent grouches :)) And I am more and more in love with this scent...
sometimes such a scent test is a really weird experience :))
