This - ladies and gentlemen - I wrote about nine months ago in the comments section when I bought L'Homme Lacoste Intense. He didn't do badly in the German perfume sunnyboy outuber, so I tried him out. And I was actually quite convinced of that scent.
Rhubarb? I'd never smelled that before. Eaten already - doesn't taste as I think. But the smell? Something special, unique, almost to be fooled by. The synthetic didn't bother me. It was important to me, despite insufficient financial means - I still go to school, I'm not nibbling at the hunger cloth, but the money is certainly not easy to get by - to smell special. So Versache The Dreamer and Banana Republics Vintage Green came in handy after I finally got over my Boss Bottled phase, which I had worn so proudly - simply because I didn't smell like BrunoBanani, like the others did. And L'Homme Lacoste Intense was to keep these two company.
So at the beginning of the summer, when I wanted to wear this fragrance, I carried my pocket money to Douglas and ordered. This village perfumery did not have the scent in stock. There is not much more than Boss Bottled, JPG Le Male and Bleu de Chanel - the LeMale and Bottled for the kids, the boring Chanel for the boring bankers next door.
Two days later I was able to pick up that scent. I did that on a school break. Back in the classroom, I tried it out, now everyone has to realize that I am the guy who smells so horny of rhubarb and tangerine. So I sprayed one, maybe two sprays into the air.
At this point a word about the atomizer: Clearly middle class, you won't be pissed on by any jet, but the water is not really atomized either. So it's not uncommon for stuff to go down your throat. Funnily enough, air often just comes out of the bottle.
But back to the classroom where I was sitting, now, after only two sprayers, completely wrapped in rhubarb and tangerine. Yeah, what can I say? Power has this thing, at least in the beginning. Therefore, the crocodile scent - nine months ago - also received nine points in the category Sillage. I adapted the durability to this number of points. Points for Michel Girard. You're welcome.

I thought it was pretty cool, but also knew that I had to be realistic in order not to make a fool of myself. The Coty fragrance is natural of course does not come close to a Tom Ford - Oud Wood, Creed Aventus or Parfums de Marly - Layton.

It doesn't feel good in the hand, but the matt Navyblue with the shiny logo and the shiny writing is quite something. If the light is right, the silver crocodile even throws a small reflection of light on the dresser where the fragrance was once placed. Unfortunately, this lacquer is only disadvantageous if you want to know approximately how much water is still in the bottle
And now I, Bamb1 (pronounced Bambi), must be very strong and honest. Why did I really rate this scent here so highly?
Because he smells so good? Certainly not. A bit of rhubarb and tangerine, the rest is almost meaningless and indefinable.
Because the sillage is so good? Certainly not. A little rhubarb and tangerine in the face, after 30 minutes hardly noticeable. Skinn-Scent after one hour at the latest.
Because it lasts so long? Certainly not. Do not misunderstand, but also the durability, is, if at all, slightly above average.
If I remember correctly, I was a little uncertain about the scent from the beginning. I liked this rhubarb note, even if it seems to be strongly synthetic - no question about it. But there is a reason why the bottle is still almost full.
The fragrance is simply not round. Synthetic mace, which is at first incredibly intrusive, before it blows in the wind. The tangerine almost burns in the nose. The rest of the fragrance is, as I said, not noticeable at all. The scent simply does not develop. L'Homme Lacoste Intense is a single top note that you just don't want to wear anymore after trying it a few times.
But after feeling like I've squandered 60 Euros, I don't seem to have managed to be honest with myself and this community.
After I put the fragrance on the dresser, I wore it perhaps seven times before I stopped touching it. Yesterday I noticed that he was already wearing a proud dustcoat. I had to smile and decided to write this comment. First yellow, then green and white
If you are looking for a spring or summer scent, you might stumble across the vintage green of Banana Republic. Rated pretty good everywhere and yet pretty cheap. Something's not right. Fortunately, I found this fragrance in the local drugstore and decided, after two tests, to get it for myself.
The presentation of the Vintage Green is, as with any other fragrance from the Icon Collection of Banana Republic, especially for the money, already something special. Large and pretty box, from which you can pull out the bottle. The bottle itself is kept simple, just like the packaging. Simpel in this case does not mean cheap, but simple, valuable. The bottle and especially the lid bring a lot to the table and give you the impression of high quality. Only the lettering could have been more elegantly implemented.
The presentation is already above average. Is it the scent too?
First of all, I want to emphasize that this fragrance is very natural throughout the composition and not synthetic. Banana Republic seems to pay attention to high quality fragrances.
At the beginning of the composition, No. 78 smells citric, fresh (bergamot, mandarin). This freshness is underpinned by green notes, which are initially only slightly expressed. These green notes, however, take over after about 10 minutes. Now do vintage green green. The fragrance remains fresh (vetiver) without losing its green notes. In the drydown, the musk is well smellable and it becomes a little sweeter.
I personally like the scent very much. If I had to create a drawing matching the fragrance, I would try to depict green leaves, a little grass with tangy citrus fruits on top.
One drawback of this fragrance is its shelf life. Unfortunately, on my skin the scent lasts hardly longer than five hours. The Sillage is summery reserved, perhaps a little too reserved.
But it doesn't change the fact that I received a compliment the first time I wore it.
In summer this fragrance is excellent to wear and versatile. Useable for leisure, the office or as a discreet scent for a date.
For the price, Vintage Green is a bummer. I would also pay a little more if necessary, because the smell is already something special. No "wow", but definitely a very pleasant summer scent.

Nostalgia
This fragrance was created in 1996 by Jean-Pierre Béthouart. 1996? Gianni Versace was still alive! 1996 - I wasn't even in this world then and yet this fragrance triggers a certain nostalgia in me. I would have loved to have admired the fashion creation Versaces and witnessed the release of this fragrance myself. But unfortunately, I was born in this millennium. Generation "No Bock".
The bottle is heavenly. Erotic, simple and yet somehow extravagant and very special. The milky head of Medusa has particularly impressed me. Luxurious, but definitely not prolific. The nebulizer is also very good, whereas the cap, in which the nebulizer is already integrated, could be a little more "steadfast".
To the packaging. Dark blue background, a few stars in the distance. In silver it says Versace - The Dreamer. If you now close your eyes, you think, I at least, of a cool summer night in which you lie with your beloved on a meadow, laugh a lot and admire the stars. Beautiful and truly dreamy.
But how does this scent smell now?
SYNTHETIC. Yes, Versaces The Dreamer smells synthetic, but still beautiful.
At the beginning of the composition it smells very flowery and almost feminine. You have to deal with that. Personally, I think it's great. The top note is somewhat more masculine and thus rounded off by slightly spicy notes which, however, seem to stay in the background.
Then the fragrance becomes a little "powdery". Pretty sweet and perfect for a cool summer night. In my opinion, it will be a little spicier here, too.
Towards the end, many think that The Dreamer should resemble the Le Male by JPG. Personally I find there only with much fantasy a similarity.
The fragrance was apparently reformulated several times and I would love to smell the original. And yet I float in nostalgia, although I haven't lived there yet.
The shelf life is pretty good. The Sillage is very strong at first, but then decreases rapidly. In my opinion this fits perfectly to the image of this fragrance. First loud, exciting and then very sensual and close.
