Mom's bakery
I've been avoiding this fragrance for ages because I'm not the gourmand type and sweet, sticky perfumes are just too much for me.
However, Gold Fair in Mayfair captivated me. Although it smells delicious and gourmand, it always retains a spiciness and elegance without sweetness.

The other day we baked all day, from cinnamon rolls, to savory scones, to sables. They all have one thing in common - lots of butter. And it struck me that there was a strong association with the scent. So the best description I can come up with for Gold Fair in Mayfair is melted butter with spices on yeast dough or butter popcorn
However, since it reminds me so much of bakery, it will remain a winter candidate for me.

Gardening in winter
Grain de Poudre is a fragrance that you wear for yourself. It has quietly crept into my heart. It is neither loud, nor obtrusive, nor eccentric, but nevertheless unique and very memorable. The mixture of green and powdery, without slipping into floral or woody, is something I have never smelled before.

It starts out very herbaceous and herbal and develops more and more powdery and dry with a herbal spiciness. I can't actively detect leather here, but it certainly adds a cozy note.

The fragrance reminds me a lot of when you cut back the herbs in spring and it's still very cold outside. Your hands smell of freshly cut woody sage stalks while you bury your face deep in a woolen scarf so that your nose doesn't freeze.

Good mood fragrance
Wow, it's great. Rarely have I been thrilled by a fragrance from the first spray.

For me, it starts similarly to Ambre Calabria by Nishane with the great coriander bergamot blend: citrusy green and juicy. But instead of drifting off into sweetness, a subtle spiciness joins in, giving the fragrance a mature and woody note. This makes it bearable even in summer at 35 degrees despite the high H/S.

When I think of this fragrance, I imagine a person in a white linen shirt and straw hat sipping an unsweetened limeade surrounded by lemon trees in the hot summer. The sun warms the dried wood on the ground. Serenity reigns.

Light-flowering neroli
I really like neroli fragrances and have already tried a few. Based on the description of Memo Paris, I had imagined a sparkling, rather fruity version with a beautiful interplay of neroli and citrus fruits. One look at the pyramid was enough to convince me and I bought it blindly.

The beginning was very good, a little soapy and green neroli peppered with juicy bergamot - exactly what I was looking for. But then the white flowers take over and the fragrance slips completely into floral on my skin. The subtle neroli note can be detected again and again over a good 7 hours (H/S really top) - but I would have liked more character here. After 1 hour, the fragrance remains quite linear, white-floral, citrusy, cheerful and well-groomed, but also somehow irrelevant

It's definitely not a bad fragrance and will probably appeal to the masses. An absolute blind buy candidate for everyday use that you can't go wrong with. For me, however, it could have used a little more green, more fruit or more spice.
