Mama's Bakery
I have been circling around this scent for ages, as I am not at all the gourmand type and sweet, sticky perfumes are just too much for me.
However, Gold Fair in Mayfair captivated me. Although it smells delicious and gourmand, it always retains a spiciness and elegance without sweetness.

Recently, we baked all day, from cinnamon rolls to savory scones to sables. One thing they all have in common - a lot of butter. And I noticed a strong association with the scent. The best description that comes to mind for Gold Fair in Mayfair is melted butter with spices on yeast dough or butter popcorn.
However, since it reminds me so much of a bakery, it will remain a winter candidate for me.

Gardening in Winter
Grain de Poudre is a fragrance that you wear for yourself. It has quietly snuck into my heart. It is neither loud, nor intrusive, nor eccentric, yet it is unique and very memorable. The blend of green and powdery, without slipping into floral or woody notes, is something I haven't encountered before.

At first, it starts off very herbal and plant-like, and then develops into a more powdery dry scent with a herbal spiciness. I can't actively perceive leather here, but there is certainly a cozy note.

The fragrance reminds me a lot of when you trim the herbs in spring and it is still very cold outside. Your hands smell of freshly cut woody sage stems while you bury your face deep in a wool scarf to keep your nose from freezing.

Good Mood Fragrance
Wow, this is amazing. Rarely have I been so impressed by a fragrance on the first spray.

For me, it starts similarly to Ambre Calabria by Nishane with the wonderful coriander bergamot blend: citrusy green and juicy. But instead of leading into sweetness, a subtle spiciness joins in, giving the fragrance a mature and woody note. This makes it bearable even in summer at 35 degrees despite high H/S.

I picture a person in a white linen shirt and straw hat, sipping unsweetened lime lemonade surrounded by lemon trees in the hot summer. The sun warms the dried wood on the ground. There is a sense of calm.

Bright Blooming Neroli
I really like Neroli scents and have already tried several. Based on the description from Memo Paris, I imagined a lively, rather fruity variant with a beautiful interplay of Neroli and citrus fruits. A glance at the pyramid convinced me, and I bought it blind.

The beginning was very good, a bit soapy and green Neroli sprinkled with juicy bergamot - exactly what I was looking for. However, the white flowers take over, and the scent completely shifts to floral on my skin. The subtle Neroli note can still be detected for a good 7 hours (H/S really top) - but I would have wished for more character here. After 1 hour, the scent remains quite linear, white floral, citrusy, cheerful, and quite refined, but somehow also rather insignificant.

It is definitely not a bad scent and will likely appeal to the general public. An absolute blind buy candidate for everyday wear that you can't go wrong with. For me, however, it could have used a bit more green, more fruit, or more spice.

Balance Act
About the scent itself - powdery and creamy. On the skin, it evokes a certain memory of baby powder from childhood. Here, however, it is a completely rounded, elegant, and subtle variant. The reason I am so enthusiastic: So far, I have hardly encountered a perfume that boasts 12 hours of longevity and never feels intrusive or excessive at any point. The scent accompanied me today from early 7:30 AM to 8 PM during my workday. It consistently exuded a subtle and elegant note, as if freshly moisturized with Nivea. I could still clearly perceive it on myself in the evening. Often, I find 10-hour longevity fragrances to be too much for summer or work. However, here a restrained scent with top longevity has been created - Chapeau, Chabaud! The art of finding the balance between restraint and endurance is certainly not easy and almost justifies the price.
