A mature scent for all ages
First off, let’s shed our preconceived impressions of TDH and Viking and look at this fragrance for what it is.
It’s a crowd pleasing fresh peppery modern day fougere. Nothing is overpowering. There are no clashing notes, just a well blended fresh fougere.
The top is citrusy and peppery.
The mid is a well blended mix of geranium cedre and a bit of lavender, it makes for a fresh spicy soapy paper feel.
The base is lovely clean patchouli, sandalwood and a bit of woody “sour” vetiveryl with just a touch, and I mean a very light touch of coumarin to smoothe everything out.
Now that we’re done giving this a fair and honest review, let’s rip into the price.
It’s a no for me. I’m still hesitant to buy another bottle. Even at discount tester price, it’s still pretty steep.
Maybe if they made flacons, I’d buy it at discount price.
This is a great intro into fougeres for people with a more modern taste in fragrance, buy it at discount only.

The hype train…..
Bought a bottle based on the hype. A certain influencer is shilling the hell out of this fragrance so I decided to give it a try. It’s pretty nice.
The top is super peppery, a nice clean pepper, it’s light and airy, not too heavy like black pepper can sometimes be.
The drydown is a watery salty smooth peppery leather reminiscent of elysium.
Sillage is kind of hard to gauge, the pepper is really loud, its what draws attention, I’m not sure if the other notes can keep up at a distance.
Is it worth it? Imho no. To be fair there are much worse fragrances when comparing price to performance. You will, more than likely, receive unsolicited compliments.
If you bought elysium at full price then this might be a better investment imho.

Mature, clean, green and fresh
I’m not to big on green scents, but this is a mature dumb reach.
Fresh aromatic cut grass. Like mowing the lawn on a crisp Sunday morning.
This reminds me of pre 2010s Irish spring bar soap, in the best way possible.
I’d say this is a 30s plus fragrance, not too much appeal to a younger crowd, although it don’t think any age or sex would find this offensive.
Never buy creed at retail (USA), it’s not worth the asking price, you can find flacons for under 500.

Too much
This is a HEAVY jasmine, like fuck man.
First spray is givin some nice jasmine along with a bad bitch broodong jasmine, like daaaaaark, and almost fecal.
This is for unforgiving jasmin lovers, particularly darker jasmines.
If if you likek like the liteness of hedion or pikake, you won’t like this.

Tonka tonka tonka
This is a tonka fragrance, that’s it, everyone go home.
This fragrance reminds me of sipping dudgnon with a joint while looking over a high rise apartment on a rainy day I just my robes and some old jazz playing
The top notes are just an afterthought. Bergamot? Yeah right, we completely skip those and go straight to the mid and base.
The mids go straight into tonka and vanilla that’s last all the way through the base.
Longevity is pretty huge 8-10 hours with maybe 2 hours of projection.
Nutmeg is there in the base, but not getting any wood or patchouli, and I feel the white musks might be here to give a little lift and a quick hug.
Overall this is a great scent of dates, cold weather, or just lounging around the house.
