not bad not great

An extremely dry and of course not suprisingly heavily peppery scent. I find the black pepper here to feel one dimensional though, like it lacks any real character and the scent relies too heavily on it and not much else. It’s just spice, dry spice, and peppery spice, and that’s it. I think some additional freshness or a richer note would’ve leveled this out a bit more

Enjoyable, Long Lasting Freshy

I think this house is widely unappreciated for the most part, so I am here to show my favorites some love.

I believe this fragrance's claim to fame is simply that it's an exceptionally long lasting freshly. If you are looking for something like that, this is your guy. It's bright, zingy and energetic. A pick-me-up type fragrance with bold citrus top notes.

I remember the first time I saw it, I thought to myself "Is this name implying that it literally smells like salt and pepper spices, or is it for a more mature man?" I soon came to the conclusion that I believe it is both. The pepper note is very prominent, and I think this would be most enjoyed by the 30+ crowd. It has a bit of a classic feel to it.

While I can understand the disappointment from some folks below, I think that this fragrance needs to be bought for your enjoyment/pick-me-up/happy mood; not for compliments. This is something I wear for me when I'm going to have a long, draining day and I just need to get through it. So friends below, try to think of it that way and maybe that will help you find a new appreciation for it. I know you shelled out some dollar bills for it, which is my only real pain point with the house, so try to change how you think about it and see if that helps.

Over Hyped & Over Priced

My first ever niche fragrance and I am absolutely disappointed with this fragrance. Don’t get me wrong, the scent is pleasant and fresh but nothing out of this world and completely over priced.

As mentioned below, there is a certain YouTuber shilling the s*+% out of this fragrance and I went with it by blind buying which is completely my own fault. The only selling point of this fragrance is that it’s attractive to the feminine nose and so as a male you won’t find it that appealing but woman will… yet to receive a compliment.

Ambroxan and Pepper is the only thing it’s got going for it. Similar to Sauvage.

The hype train…..

Bought a bottle based on the hype. A certain influencer is shilling the hell out of this fragrance so I decided to give it a try. It’s pretty nice.
The top is super peppery, a nice clean pepper, it’s light and airy, not too heavy like black pepper can sometimes be.
The drydown is a watery salty smooth peppery leather reminiscent of elysium.
Sillage is kind of hard to gauge, the pepper is really loud, its what draws attention, I’m not sure if the other notes can keep up at a distance.
Is it worth it? Imho no. To be fair there are much worse fragrances when comparing price to performance. You will, more than likely, receive unsolicited compliments.
If you bought elysium at full price then this might be a better investment imho.
