Unfortunately, I can't understand the hype.
I don't know if it's my bottling, I don't think so because I got it from a long-established parfumo, but I find this fragrance extremely strange.

The way it was described here, I was expecting an absolute vanilla explosion with a brute H/S. What I got...well, you could say it was a gentle breeze.

I think it's a very one-dimensional, extremely weak, slightly creamy vanilla fragrance that you've smelled a thousand times before. The sillage is also almost non-existent, I find it radiates close to the skin at most, after 50cm you smell exactly nothing.

I will definitely test it again in the local perfumery, but to be honest I am very disappointed, I would have expected something else with an overall score of 8.4.

Just one word: masterpiece!
I know, strong words for a headline, but I don't think there's any other way to describe this fragrance.

I have tested many, many sweet fragrances in the meantime, but I was blown away by this bottle.

When I sprayed it on for the first time, it was a small sample that I had as a supplement in a souk, I immediately had a big, fat grin on my face. I rarely have that with fragrances, but I immediately realized: Oh boy, what is that? You have to have it!
And suddenly I didn't care at all about the actual fragrance I wanted to test. I was immediately captivated by the black sailor.

This finely balanced blend of cardamom, iris and a beautiful vanilla (not the cheap, scratchy kind) is uniquely delicious, downright addictive. I have unbelievably smelled it on my hand at least 100 times.

The first time I actually wore this fragrance to work, I received nothing but compliments. And lots of them. Even from people who normally don't like me...you have to achieve that first :D

The sillage is completely fine, the first 2-3 hours it projects really exemplary, as soon as someone came into my office, I'm sitting about 5m away from the door, they noticed my scent immediately and showered me with compliments.

I would also describe the durability as good, 6-8 hours depending on the type, if I spray it properly on my clothes in the morning I can still recognize it well in the afternoon.

Overall, I can only give it a 10 out of 10. As already mentioned in the title: a masterpiece!

Naxos in Swedish. Rough, with rough edges.
I love Naxos. This mix of tobacco and honey is just my thing. My uncle had a fragrance in the early 90s that smelled very similar, don't ask me what it was called, I haven't the faintest idea. And unfortunately he's no longer with us. So the uncle. And the fragrance probably isn't either. But I think that's why I like this fragrance so much.

What I don't love is the price of this extraordinary concoction. for me personally, 200 euros is just too much for a perfume. So I have to find an alternative.

I found out about "Honey Tobacco | Niche 4 All" from a super nice Parfumo user who was and is here to help me with lots of tips (Hi Miffy ;) ). He was always raving about it.

By chance, I got a 5ml sample of "Honey Tobacco | Niche 4 All" relatively soon after our conversations and I fell in love with the stuff immediately, at the very first sniff.

Yes, it's different from Naxos. First of all, not so expensive. Very good. But it's also not as nuanced. I would say it lacks a niche. Even if the manufacturer is called Niche4All, it lacks it. But that doesn't matter. It's exactly how you would imagine a Naxos from Sweden to be. It's rougher, it has more corners and more edges. You can tell where he comes from. Sweden is just not Italy.

And yet I love it. The opening is pure tobacco. But the good kind. After a short time, however, the sweetness of the honey is added, I'd almost say it goes in the direction of manuka honey. Just right. I can also smell a little vanilla towards the end. That's it. And that's all it needs. Where a Naxos impresses with complexity, "Honey Tobacco | Niche 4 All" shines with its simplicity.

The longevity is great, I can easily smell it on me for 8 hours. The sillage is gigantic for the first 2 hours, but then gradually decreases. Fits!

We don't need to talk about the bottle, even 6 euro fragrances from the DIY store sometimes have nicer bottles.

But in the end it's the content that counts and it's convincing all along the line!

The best Spicebomb for every day.
Where the normal Spicebomb impresses with its spiciness and the Extreme with its "improved / refined formula", there is still one missing that pairs the whole thing with a delicious fruit.

And tadaaa... that's where the Spicebomb Infrared comes into play.

What's going on here is out of this world. After trying the two above, I thought it was a case of "if you know one, you know them all", because they do smell very similar.

But the Infrared is different. The first thing you get is a truckload of apples. Red apples. Sweet, fruity, you literally want to bite into them. And then, a short time later... the typical Spicebomb DNA. And I don't know why, on paper it doesn't sound anywhere near as great as what comes out of this bottle.

Although there is a lot of cinnamon involved, this fragrance has surprisingly little Christmassy for me. It is rather fresh and fruity with that certain something.

Definitely a fragrance that doesn't just work in the colder half of the year but actually always, even and especially in summer.

For me, Viktor&Rolf has hit the bull's eye here and I wonder once again why this flanker gets so little attention. What a pity. But it's also a good thing, because hype can sometimes lead to exorbitant prices. And that's definitely not the case here.

You were my first great love...
I remember it very well, it must have been 1996, I was 12 and was just discovering that girls aren't quite as stupid as I always thought.

A classmate, an absolute girl crush, always wore this fragrance and even then I knew I had to have it too.

So I asked for it for my birthday, my very first perfume. And since then I've treated myself to a bottle of it every year, for me it's simply a timeless classic.

About the fragrance:
Citrusy, fresh, a little creamy, a little lavender and a dash of sportiness at the end - that describes Tommy perfectly. Simply a feel-good fragrance through and through that conjures up flashbacks from your youth from the very first spritz.

The bottle is timelessly beautiful, the silver lid looks elegant and high-quality, every opening is a pleasure.

Thank you for being here, Tommy!
