Quiet comforter
For days I've been sitting in my office and somehow trying to teach myself the pitfalls of cost and activity accounting. And ask myself why I do myself with 36 such a crap. Oh yeah, to get ahead professionally. So I keep torturing myself, and I'm always plagued by a guilty conscience because the family is screaming for attention.
So to unwind a bit, I browse through my perfume collection. Fragrances either soothe or invigorate me. My choice falls on Narciso Rodriguez Poudree, for ages waiting to be used, but always put off. No sooner does it develop its scent on me, don't even know why actually. The powdery, velvety scent of musk and woods envelop me in a warm, cozy cloud. Rose and jasmine greet me briefly and make way for the real protagonist, the musk. Accompanied by sensual vetiver and woods. It's gentle and soothes me on the spot. It doesn't put itself in the foreground, doesn't scream for attention, yet it's always there. With every movement, it rises up my nose again, leaving me sinking into powdery clouds.
He lasts on me incredibly long, 8 hours he holds out easily.
Oh and studying? Since is still exhausting, but still conjures Poudree in between a smile on my face

Bridal bouquet with lots of roses
When I got married 3 years ago, this was full of sunflowers and red roses. Appropriate for a late summer wedding. My bridal perfume was Kenzo Amour. Very appropriate.
If I had gotten married in spring or mid-summer, Idole L'intense would have been my choice. It smells like roses, freshness and playfulness to me. Very nice, actually. And in front of me automatically flashes the rose-colored bridal bouquet, carried by a bride with flowers in her hair. Who likes flowery fragrances, is certainly right here!

Cuddly Soft
There are few fragrances that won immediately on first impression. Libre Intense had me immediately. Hardly had the soft lavender vanilla note surrounded me, I knew, you and I, we belong together. Rarely have I felt so captivated, so warmly secure yet sensually free. It starts immediately with classic lavender, but not scratchy, it's sun-warm. And it continues in the same way. The vanilla paired with tonka make it all round and make it feel like you're surrounded by a sunny blanket of coziness. The orange blossom stays subtly in the background, letting the lavender make its appearance. I don't care if it's mainstream or anything else. I think I'm incredibly fond of it, and even my perfume-muffin of a husband thinks it's great.
Maybe I'll also test Mon Guerlain Intense. That is supposed to be similar. And then the two may rise together with me the sun.

Uniform mush
The sample smiled at me. Valentino, mmh there are the expectations high. At the first sniff, I like it. Floral, a little sweet. Tangerine, ginger, orange blossom and vanilla rise warmly. Nice, though smelled a thousand times, but still quite nice. After a while, however, the nice evaporates, what remains is a pungent background that spoils the fragrance for me.
It is per se a nice 08/15 fragrance that some will surely love immediately, but for me the aftermath is just too soapy pungent.
Still, thanks for letting me test it!

It's not gonna...
...or so I thought. When Black Opium intense came on the market back then, I had to test it. After all, the original is already delicious. So off to the big M and test it. Yes damn it, what was that supposed to be? It smelled like old men's perfume to me. Shit, but also. That gives nix. Since then I know that the intense variants don't always have much to do with the original scent. Nevertheless, I gave him a second chance and ersoukte him here. Ok, try number 2. And tadaa, that came to me already very much. Delicious coffee with vanilla and a little kick. The jasmine is subtle and brightens it up a bit. It smells tempted, sweet and like going out. Not for daytime. There it would be over the top. In the evening at the cocktail, perfect.
What I smelled then, no idea. Was perhaps on the test strip.
Shortcoming here is that he barely holds on my skin. On the clothes he hangs for hours. On me is after 4 hours at the latest end.
The flacon I find very beautiful. The blue is nice peppy and a little wicked. But for the fact that the perfume advertises with absinthe, the green fairy, I would have actually expected something green ?
