Feeding the addiction
This is more of a self-reflection blog, but I’m sure I’m not alone in this. Can you recognize this? You’ve bought a new pair of shoes and you’re already looking for the next. You’ve bought a new coffee machine, but yeah it doesn’t have wifi so on to the next. A new phone, but does it even have a 36 megapixel camera? We’re living in a material world, Madonna already knew that 40 years ago.
Perfumery also cunningly makes use of the fact that we the people want more and more and better and better. The “eau de parfum” version of fragrance A hasn’t even hit the shelves or an “Intense” version is already announced. Or what about all those Signature lines? Leather, Oud or Tobacco flankers anyone? If you’re susceptible to this, you’ll have to be careful not to spend all of your money on this! “Gotta catch’em all” we’re being taught at young age right?

But what if that one fragrance makes you smell even more wealthy than the one you already have? Whatever that may mean, if you fall into the trap you’ll end up smelling good, but not very wealthy at all. Enjoy what you have, be grateful for what you have and remember: you’re going back to those old reliable fragrances anyway.
I really don't know what to do about it.
